Allo Allo
Des or anyone- what are the chances of me getting a seat as an alternate on the day in Cardiff if I travel up?
-
Very little chance if you"re not there VERY early. I"d say you"d want to be queuing at about 9-ish (as a guess) to be at or near the front of the queue. You might not need to be there that early, but it would be a bit of a ball-ache driving over, arriving there at 11, and then finding you"re 10th on the reserve list.
Not many reserves getting in recently, but you do also have the chance to get in as an alternate. Again though, not huge numbers of alternates getting in either.

I was the only alternate at the Walsall event to get in. I got to the casino about 11am to find a queue of about 6 people. First six must have got in as reserves, but only one player busted during the first two levels.

A little bit of a hijack this but i got this email;
"Dear Member,
We can now offer you a place at the Welsh Amateur Championship at Grosvenor Cardiff, this weekend - January 12th & 13th, with play starting from 2.30pm.
To participate, you will need to complete payment via the link below before midnight on Friday evening."
