Guys
FYI Joe Carr-Hill has made Day 2 of WSOP 9 $1,500 NLHE with a decent stack. He came through 1b and 514 players from 1a & 1b will play Day 2 today. wsop.com has Joe in 48th place. I think they restart at 8pm UK BST.
The below is from Joe"s facebook but I think he"s selling himself short as the average is more like 30k by my maths
For those of you interested, I made Day 2 of the $1,500 event in Vegas. About 500 left out of 3,400 and 340 get paid. Winner gets $800,000. Nice. I"m on 60k and the average is about 40k. 1am here, so probably ought to get some sleep! Big day tomorrow!
For those who don"t know Joe, he"s a regular at APAT events having played since S3 making a Final Table (I think in Bolton in S3). I am sure the mods can oblige with a picture.
He"s a really nice guy although he does have a propensity to wear jackets with elbow pads, thereby immediately outing himself as a teacher :D
Good Luck Joe - TID!
NB - He"s in good UK company with Liv Boeree & Toby Lewis on similar stacks

Average stack is just under 30 JP according to online sources....
Level 10
Blinds 400 / 800
Ante 100
Players Left 514
Entries 3404
Average Chip Stack 29,802
Prize Pool 4,595,400
GL Joe... one of the good guys!

Good luck Joe!

...and I have just noticed a certain Deborah Worley-Roberts is doing well in this event.
I remember Deborah from the WCOAP last year. With Liv as well this event has got APAT all over it ;D

Very best of luck to you Joe
-
Best of luck too the both of them, would love it for Joe to cash.
I am also a little confused as to whether you are there now JP? If so best of luck m8. 800k for the good guy :)
-
GL Joe, get it won mate 8)
-
Go on Joe Char-Grill.
Actually, I really want Deborah to win it all so that I can say I won £10 from a WSOP bracelet-holder in a last-longer.
Two Final-Tablists would be very acceptable.
-
Good luck Joe, wish you all the best. Met Joe at the poker player magazine world cup a few years ago. He"d just returned from Vegas that morning!
Think he cashed then too!
-
Thanks everyone! Just off to the Rio now. Starts in an hour. My main worry is whether I can stay awake having had only about 6 hours sleep in the last 60 hours. Fingers crossed! Will report back later.
-
GL Joe. How"s it going in the IP?
-
Looks like Deborah cashed, along with two lesser-known APAT members, Toby & Liv.

Just got back from the Rio (it"s 3am here). I managed to last the whole of Day 2 and then I went out on the very last hand at 2am. The worst thing is that the payout took 30 minutes, whereas if I had folded to the loose raiser I"d have bagged up and been out in 5 minutes! I came 34th and cashed for $18,200 (after dealers" tips).
Thanks for all the messages of support! Sorry about not still being in it. I was very short, but who knows what would have happened tomorrow (today for you).
Main Event next year!

Fantastic effort Joe, very well done. 34th in a field of over 30000 was a great achievement. Are you playing any others?
-
Well done Joe :)
-
Brill, very well done. Thought you had busted cos I couldn"t see you in the chip-counts and the rubbish updaters only ever mention the pros they know being in a pot with "another player", which is pretty lazy when the field is down to a few dozen players. Super achievement.

Don"t know the hands or the stacks, but I"m sure you were right to defend there against a loose player, with the next 6 places all paying the same and the 9 places after that paying just 4k more.
-
Congratulations Joe, WP fella.... hope you went to sleep on a bed of dollar bills :)
-
Nice one Joe. So - $18k...... Main Event spin up??
-
Excellent ! VWP Joe, nice cash !
-
Well played Sir
-
well played joe
-
Nice one Joe, you should be proud mate, enjoy the rest of your trip ;)
-
Very well played and nice cash Joe. Great performance mate :)
-
WP Joe.
I"d leave tipping the dealers to the winner IMO
-
Thanks everyone! If your wondering about the exit hand, it"s folded round to the button, who is the loose chip leader, and he raises to 25k. Blinds are 5k/10k with a 1k ante. I"m in the small blind and push my 180k with KQs. He snap calls with AK. In isolation, the play is fine, but I was annoyed that I didnt just fold so that I could come back for Day 3.
Played cash at the Belagio today. $160 down. I think I can cover it!
-
nice one Joe
-
Welldone Joe, hope the rest of your trip goes just as well
