Currently (June 2012) have an deal for £58.20 per night (£64 with Breakfast) under The Great Getaway Offer. This is non-refundable and payable in advance and, apparently, will not earn you any Hilton Points either.

Obviously you will have to factor in taxis but if you want a little bit more luxury than Etap / Travelodge.

EDIT: Holiday Inn Deals link no longer working.

Scrub that, just spoken to BobaFett who advises that the etap is the equiv to a bunkbed in a multistorey car park ;-)

Trawling flights now, should be booking this weekend. Going to stay in Glasgow city centre instead (obv in htl nearest to a costa/starbucks ... why change habits of a lifetime)

Obviously I"ve never stayed there but it looked like the double rooms were adequate. Check with Tighty he"s stayed there and will give you the lowdown.

It"s probably perfectly adequate for somewhere to lay your head for the night. I have never been to Glasgow before though, so thinking a City Centre hotel will give me the opprtunity to have a wander round during the day  ;D

I used to work in Glasgow, office was next to a premier inn above a Costa in Argyll street. Stayed there one night usual premier inn standard.

Back in the Betfair days myself and the Stockton Rock stayed there as we had binked the free bar weekend. We run well.
The place is very odd though.

We booked a twin room.. which consisted of a double bed with some steps to like a single bed stuck to the wall above the pillows length ways above the double... I went for the single and only discovered after a drunken hike later up the steps the nice stains up there.. OH and then there was the dead fly which was stuck to the loo roll haha.

It is however across the carpark from the casino so couldnt be better closer.

Gary Palmer rang me saying he"d booked us a room for the weekend. A twin. Yay. Then he told me it was at the Etap. Sigh. Might bring my own loo roll this time x

Nice one ! Mine was subject to the restrictions or Avios (air miles) and the only flight I could get to Glasgow was late Friday night returning Monday night. It"s only an hour on the train and would have to get a train from Glasgow Airport anyway so not the end of the world. Have a safe journey and enjoy Friday night shame I will miss it  :(

Well that"s awesomely awesome isn"t it.

I am arriving at 4:30pm sharp along with the hero, Asa. Taxi ride to hotel, will most likely need a shower after 5 hours on the train so good to go for about 5pm - 5:30pm. Is there a pub near our hotel as it does not seem to have a bar !!!!!!

What will be the best meeting place Grant? I will PM you my number so we can ensure everybody ends up in the same place on the day.

What time are other arriving?
