Title: Extreme Activities in Glasgow (Saturday or Sunday morning)...
Post by: Matt D on October 12, 2012, 12:46:21 PM
Who"s up for it? I"ve been unable to find a wakeboarding park near to the casino - and I expect that the water would be brrrrrrr cold this time of year in Scotland anyway!

But, I did find this: http://www.xscape.co.uk/braehead/concessions/rock-climbing-climbzone (5 miles from the casino)
and this: http://www.snozoneuk.com/v/scotland (2 miles from casino).

Anyone up for "total beginners" rock climbing and/or snowboarding lessons this weekend? Sign this thread or collar me on Friday or Saturday, and I"ll look into booking something up :D

Bugger - wish I was coming this weekend now!  Loving this additional interaction Matt - hope you do something similar for Luton :)

Great idea Matt. Many of the locals seem to be doing a pre-match breakfast at either Sir John Moores or Frankie & Bennys on Saturday but I"m sure you"ll still get a few interested parties for this. Unfortunately I have dodgykneeitis  ::)

AMRN, I don"t see why not? :) (will look into stuff nearer the time, but open to any suggestions :)).

Looking at the schedule, I think any extra-curricular activities for me will have to be Sunday AM rather than Saturday AM. Heading to casino at opening time (12pm) on Saturday, meaning there isn"t really enough time to do anything beforehand.

I"d recommend Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum to anyone else looking for a lighter pre-match expedition  ;)

Matt...you really don"t get what an APAT weekend away is all about do you!?  ;D

Most APATers will be barely concious on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

You"ll learn.
