Title: Problem with APAT poker room (pop up problem?)
Post by: AMRN on November 05, 2012, 15:49:55 PM
I am having trouble opening tables on the APAT poker room - for the past two weeks, the only way I have been able to play the league game is by opening the client software in a sandbox, where it works fine.... that suggests I have a config issue, but buggered if I can find it.

When I try to open a table, I see the window appear, but then immediately disappears. I"ve disabled pop up blockers in both IE and Chrome, but to no avail.

Matt/PhilTC/Any PC nerds.... any thoughts?

Can"t see it as a browser issue as the APAT software runs outside of the browser environment.

What OS are you running?

Agree, but clutching at straws...

I won"t suggest that you turn it off and back on again (that"s down to Kinboshi) but the first thing I would do (having made sure I have all my details saved somewhere safe) is:

Do an uninstall.
Clear the registry (I use CC Cleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) which is free.)
Re-download & re-install

Here"s another thing...do you have the "live window" thingy on your taskbar?

If so, it indicates that the software is running....which is good.

What I have found is that, on occasions, the live window is actually OFF the screen.  If you hover over the "window" that drops down you can right click and click "Move".

Do that and the live window is then "hooked up" to your mouse and can be "waved around" so that you can see it.

If that doesn"t work you can do the same and use the arrow keys to move the live window around.

Uninstalled, cleaned registry, rebooted, reinstalled...... still the same.

Re the window being off screen, no - if I hover over the taskbar icon, it only shows the lobby as being open. Also, when the table window tries to open, it is on my main (only) screen that it appears momentarily then disappears.

Strangely though, having tried to open tables, the client won"t let me shut down and tells me I have to close all open tables before exiting..... the only way I can get out is to go to task manager and close the process.

Just tried it with DTD Poker - same problem. Looks like something within my laptop config doesn"t like BOSS software (and the feeling is mutual right now!)
