With blizzard like conditions due tomorrow and this weekend, use this thread to stick up your winter piccys and films, and tales of adventure, falls, etc :)
I"m off surfing/wakeboarding (?!?!?) in Devon this weekend. Taking the GoPro with me, so will post any exciting stuff on my return :)

SNOW !!
Left home at 4.15am.
Windscreen wiper fell off @ 4.20am.
Left home again @ 4.35am with an old wiper taped on (very resourceful).
Arrive Bristol Airport 6.17 am for 6.20 check in.
Board plane for 7am flight @ 12.15pm.....take off 3pm.
Arrive UKIPT 4.30pm to find that i have not been blinded out.
Play like a rock (best hand 88) on tough table until moved late on.
All in 5 times with no action so returning today with starting stack.
Predict lasting 30 mins at best.
All I have to do then is get home....................
-
Lasted 3 hours until QQ vs AA.
Then TT beaten by 66.
Oh, it"s snowing again.

haha, thanks Leigh :) This thread didn"t prove to be the success I"d hoped for! ;)
I"m just back from a weekend of surfing and wakeboarding. Absoutely awesome, though my feet did almost fall off with frostbite earlier! :D

The car is in the garage and while I await the distressing news of the bill I thought I would drop a couple of pictures from the warmth of my house in here....

Ireland finally got hit with it too. The blondie is my daughter Sarah and that"s the snowman family she and her friends made yesterday. :D

Hope that"s not blocking the satellite signal ;D
-
Laxie, that pic is totally awesome!! :D
-
Wow, that"s a seriously good snowman family there!! Loving the pringles touch :D
Wish there had been a video of them getting the head on the taller snowman ;D
-
Changing times for snowmen. People don"t have coal in their houses these days.
-
Cheers all! There were 9 or 10 kids/teens involved in the construction. It"s a rural village with not much to do so they make the most of snow days when they get them.

Apparently they used a ladder to reach the top bit. The pringles tin is a step up though. In the past, we"d put a tall beer tin in his hand. ::)
They"ve coal fires every day in the winter, but nobody wants to muck their hands/gloves using it for the snowman. :D
