Real world battles are rarely won by the ragtag team of underdogs. Tanks beat horses, guns beat spears, long range artillery beats the living daylights out of short range. Now you would be forgiven for thinking that this will also translate itself to the world of poker, where the proficient players knock the hell out of the enthusiastic amateurs.
History has sometimes a completely different ending.
I am a firm believer that every single one of us has an inner underdog, a voice that dares us to be great. Inspiration comes from a lot of different places. The hand that holds up, the coin flip you win, the inspired bet that gets through.
So it is with the final stages of the League. The Mods know their place is so firmly entrenched in underdog territory that no one is giving them a chance. Opponents should adopt this stance at their peril.
There is one weapon that overshadows the tanks, guns and other assorted ordinance of the proficient poker players. Whilst the Mods will have heart and courage in abundance, there is one thing that will turn the tide, Oh Yes it is of course the lever.

LEVER [lev-er, lee-ver]
noun
1. Mechanics . a rigid bar that pivots about one point and that is used to move an object at a second point by a force applied at a third.
2. a means or agency of persuading or of achieving an end: Saying that the chairman of the board likes the plan is just a lever to get us to support it.
Alternative uses
3. A mythical device wielded by the gnomes deep within the bowels of poker skins to enable brave and valiant players an edge that they may require in a tight situation.
