Are we any clearer about ISPT Day 1 tickets for WCOAP winners? I"d really like to ensure I get to play one of the live Day 1s at D2D!

Did you get the auto response reply to say they"d received your email?  I sent an email yesterday and hadn"t received that, so got in touch with Nicola directly on FB.  She helped me out without hassle.  Give it a try if you"re still waiting.

Thanks Dawn. I didn"t get an auto-response to either email.

However Nicola has now replied and said she is going to do her verifications later in the week and send the passwords out then. So all is good.

I think they"re having email troubles they don"t even know they have yet.  Going to send her the "return mail" notice I got from gmail today saying their (DTD) system isn"t responding.

grrr card dead on a manic table for ages - folded everything for hours, then shoved 12bbs with QQ and was cold called by A2o for half his stack.... of course he got there.   Such a soft tourney - definitely doing it again next Sunday if they run 200 seats gtd again.

Finished around 260 - not that far short of the seats, given I hardly played a hand

Title: Re: The APAT ISPT thread.
Post by: Chipaccrual on April 30, 2013, 19:59:12 PM
It"s not sold out.  I think DTD have put that up there as the seats will all be allocated through us, and not them, so it saves them having to answer questions as to how players can buyin.

Satellite details will be put up very shortly.  Satellites will be on APAT Online.  Our event is clearly the best side event to play.  ;D    Two Day structure (we are slightly limited by finish times at the venue), Saturday & Sunday, and it will run on the pitch alongside the ISPT Day 2b/Day 3 Main Event.

Get on this..... 51 players left with 50 to qualify..... I"m on something like 43rd but just about to be all-in with the big blind. I"m dealt  Ac Kh so that"s not too bad.. Everbody folds, 5k hands and 30k hands fold until the small blind who has nearly 70k so has easily qualified and he bloody calls me.... WHY...?
He has  10c 10d but why call anyway..
He hits a  10s so I"m left sitting waiting while it holds for hand for hand...

Qualified in 46th.... But I can"t understand why he called... typhoon46 or something like that he was....

The club seats 450+, plus alternates, plus extra tables if they have to...

If they hit 450+ per live one you"ll see Simon Trumper doing cartwheels in the direction of Nandos across the road...

Just a reminder ahead of tomorrow"s first Day One

- live 50k stack starting at 100-200 (chips stacks divided by 10  for Day 2)

- 5k stack online starting at 10-20

reason - we don't have 10 and 20 chip denominations at the club and some online day 1"s had already ran on european sites

ISPT Week 1 Update

A very interesting read. In it he talks about

- His own expectations for the Day One numbers both live and Online

- Prospects for Direct buy ins to Wembley and DTD"s efforts in this area

- His disappointment at the response from the Grass Roots poker players

Comments welcome.

64 runners last night, and 20 seats, so a 1 in 3 shot at a ISPT Day One seat

As with all these ISPT feeders and sats, amazing value

You just need to get to the club, or if you are not close enough fire up the Online client for the feeders...

DTD can"t do much more to get runners to Wembley.

Today Day1d Live, 2pm late registration to 7.40pm

Online the first of six Day Ones in the run up to Wembley on Friday

50 Day one seats are GTD every night at 7pm,ahead of the Day Ones at 8.30pm...

These 50 seaters should be incredible value! Highly likely to overlay substantially and represent a great route to Wembley for a fraction of a Day One seat cost

- Final Live Day 1 at DTD today
- Feeders, 30 Euro sats and Online Day Ones every night this week
- Freeroll 10pm nightly, 200 seats GTD into the next night 30 sat
- Genting Live Satellites start today

The event begins Friday, and is set to be phenomenal value (substantial overlay on the first prize) in a unique and iconic setting for a poker tournament

As you can see, even if you have not considered doing so yet, DTD is giving you every chance to qualify in, and if not and you are flush enough...Direct buy in methods are shown at http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/ispt/ on the "Buy In" tab

Yes, very good. I"m afraid I don"t know who the middle two are, but they look a bit too old to me.

Have you landed yourself with having to do this for every APAT member who gets in? That"ll be funny if there"s a late rush. I know Debjani and Don the Hammerman have also got over the line.

Had a quick chat with Leigh Wiltshire

He has been far tighter than his table, not especially by choice but short of hands and short of spots

Saving up that run of hands for when it matters two tables out, lets hope

He has 750,000 or so at 12-24,000

Average 1.1m

34 left

Leigh is directly out of position to Julian Gardner and Freddy Deeb

I bet thats a real thrill, and the result so far is well deserved for someone who has given a lot of time and effort for recreational poker in the UK via APAT for a number of years and has many of that community willing him on

oooooo fun hand. Fight. Fight. Fight.

From Blonde:

Andre Moraria opens to 66,000

and so begins the most controversial hand of the tournament that takes many many minutes to play out

Leigh Wiltshire calls

In the big blind Freddy Deeb shoves a stack of chips over the line

He says nothing

The dealer counts and announces 191,000

This is a mistake, It is actually 291,000

Moraria without saying anything puts in 380,000

Wiltshire folds

and then it kicks off

The table discovers that the dealer has made a mistake

Deeb is an argumentative so and so, very belligerent in debate and no quarter given

He maintains that Moraria has not put in enough to raise

Moraria says he was following the dealer in clicking back

Across multiple languages and multiple railers there is a hubbub

The floor is called

Several minutes later Simon Trumper is called

He listens to the players, listens to mthe dealer

He asks the dealer how he cut the Deeb raise, to see if the 100,000 blue chip that the dealer has not ben accounted for has been exposed

He rules that everyone has had a chance to see the blue chip, its clearly more than 191,000 and that Moraria is held to call 191,000 as he has under-raised

The key here is that neither Deeb or Moraria said anything, and that the player has to accept the dealer error and realise he had the opportunity to see it was 291,000 not 191,000

Deeb goes second chip leader

Moraria is out of the room, storming, before I look up from my notepad

Leigh Wiltshire UTG 105,000 at 40,000 bb

Xavier Superman exclaims "zis time I call" on the button

Nick Hicks is told by Le Superman "Come along for ze ride Meester Cheep leeder"

Hicks calls

Flop 2h 2d  8h

Hicks checks

Wiltshire checks

Le Superman 250,000

Hicks folds

Wiltshire cogitates, as if constructing a spreadsheet template and macro-add on in his day job

His nose wrinkles slightly and he announces raise, putting 450,000 across the line

Xavier folds showing him pocket fives

"Now you show" he asks the mild mannered Bournemouth accountant

"No, I don"t do that" says Leigh as he rakes in the pot and passes the cards to the dealer, resolutely face down

Leigh appears to have getting on for 2m with 21 left and 20 minutes left to play.

Frikkin awesome Leigh - so chuffed for you to be in the mix in such a prestigious event.

Goes to show, when he writes those updates at APAT events, he might actually know what he"s talking about after all :)

Nice one myles!!!

Sad news as Leigh Wiltshere busts.

Leigh made it 100K utg.

Nick Hicks in the BB calls.

Qd 6d Ah

Check check on the flop.

9h  turn.

Hicks bets for 110K

Leigh bumps it up to 300K

Hicks calls.

The river card comes

Kc

Hicks leads for roughly 400K to which Leigh shoves.

Leigh rivered the set with KK

But it is no good as Nick Hicks has T J

7 million in chips for Hicks.

Great stuff Leigh vwp.

And to think we all joked that it was highly unlikely that Matt and I would get close to your side event cash after your win on Sunday night.

Well played John, it was great fun railing you.

The rail was very much appreciated, especially as you guys helped put a stop to the coaching from the rail.

A big cash was never in doubt mate, thought you were going to FT. Worst river ever.
