Title: Technical Problem - Help!!!
Post by: Supernova on June 05, 2013, 12:45:02 PM
Hi peeps,

I have a briefcase in my documents in Windows 7 which contains all my poker training videos (alot). I"ve tried to open it this morning to watch a couple and it"s telling me that the briefcase is open on another computer and it won"t let me in until I shut the other one down.....confused_technophobe.com.

Can anyone please help me to get it open in plain English please? I"d be ever so grateful.

many thanks, Shaz x

Is this a shared folder?

...and what"s a "briefcase"?

EDIT: Ahh...it is a sync"ed folder.

You must have accessed it on one PC and not closed it before accessing it on a second.

Have you tried switching it off and back on again? x

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii thank you thank you Mr Wonderful! It took a while, and was the last item on the list. Somehow a program called Strongvault online backup had got into my computer and that was the problem. Also My Briefcase is apparently notorious for not behaving so all my videos aren"t organised anymore but they are there, and that"s what matters -xXx-

:-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Now back to sorting my HEM out I think the word is FML & I think I need to study IT more, I"m so rusty it"s dangerous!!!!!
