Sounds like a plan, you un-reg from a direct buy in which is not supposed to be open until after the sats, then play in the sats and find that after you have played the sat and are unsuccessful you try and buy back in and there are no more seats left.
Of course it may be the case that there will be plenty of seats left after the sats have played out, I just think this principle is wrong (albeit caused by the early sale of the seats buy William Hill), why take the risk, it certainly does not encourage people to play the sats, needless to say I don"t think I will bother.

I"ve just regged on WH for Coventry too. Trouble is, I"d reserved a seat cos I won"t be online on Wednesday, which I now didn"t need to do.

Fair points Des.
I"d suggest opening the holding tanks the same time as the reservations, but that doesn"t sound like an option if we want to try and satellite. Guess it"ll take a few events to see what the overall effect will be re panic for seats, supply and demand etc

You could also force everybody to qualify through satellites and not allow any direct buy in option - it would increase the satellite entries and make more money - but it wouldn"t be a good idea.

No one likes playing online less than I do but I played this evenings sat to support APAT and its partner for this event.

I can assure you that last time I checked, it was definitely showing as a rebuy, but clearly something has been changed at William Hill"s end of things.
I am just writing a polite email to find out how this error could have happened, as clearly a 1 in 17 shot is a fairly pointless satellite to run.

I think I didn"t explain my point very well.
I 100% wanted to guarantee myself for Cov but if (however unlikely) all the seats had been sold by £5 reserve or direct buy in then I could have missed out by waiting to play the sats.
If the seats had been selling very fast, like they used to, then I"d have had no option but to reserve and miss the sats for fear of missing out.
If the sats were first it would mean I could relax and play them safe in the knowledge that i could still buy in as soon as the holding tank opened.

Obviously I understand the argument both ways - but my point is that if people have the option of seat reservation, direct buy in or satellite - a certain proportion of them won"t choose the satellite option.
If you take away the other two options and that results in the satellite numbers going up it means you must have made some people enter when they don"t really want to - hence you"re penalising them.

It will be a freeroll, with two seats added. Players will have the option of unlimited rebuys for £5 during the first 60 minutes, and then a £5 addon.
Additional seats will be awarded for every £82.50 in the prizepool. (This is is addition to the two seats William Hill are putting up).
The tourney will have the usual password, which I will confirm once I get the final details from William Hill. The tourney will be open to all APAT members.
Apologies again for last night"s experience. Hopefully this will help to make up for it.

Strict bank roll management means I need to be selective in what I play and not knowing everything thats on offer makes that selection tricky.

The casino is selling to locals aswell, so we are expecting it to be sold out.
The reserve a seat button (www.apat.com) will be open until 11:55am on Saturday, and if you reserve through there in advance, you will definitely be guaranteed a seat.

The venue are selling an allocation in advance, so ask at the poker desk for details.
The PLO event usually opens for buyin from early evening on the Saturday.

Room cancelled in my name - was just letting people know a room had come free. I had assumed hotel was probably full so peeps might be interested. Phone hotel direct for more info. Sorry guys - I"m a bit all over the place juggling my commitments given that I"m off my feet so just cancelled it rather than get involved in trying to do a transfer myself. Good luck all.
