Is there likely to be any seats left on August 5th?

Prizes (Based on Guarantee)

Winner : £2000 + Champions Trophy
2nd : £1000 + Runners Up Trophy
3rd : £600
4th : £400
5th : £250
6th : £200
7th : £175
8th : £150
9th : £125
10th : £100

All amounts and number of places paid are subject to final number of runners and total amount generated after the rebuy/addon session. Final prize structure will be announced to the players once this is known.

If this sells out at 200 players how many places would be paid?

This

Looks like a fun event, May be able to make it.

One question though,

does the vig (15%) apply to the rebuys?

Hi Suzanne

We do anticipate there being seats available for APAT members to take - I will be able to give you an approximate number closer to the date, but i would be amazed if we sold out before August 5th - its never happened so far!

We would look to pay approximately the top 10% of the field - so if we get to 200, id say the top 20 will be paid. We list that prize structure purely as a guide to what the minimum payout will look like.

Hey Del,

Simple answer is Yes mate - we will generate and total the whole pot, including buy ins, top ups, rebuys and addons, deduct 15%, and pay out the rest on the day which will happen on around the first break, after the addon session. Full prize breakdown will be then announced and displayed as final for the remainder of the tournament.

Title: Pub Poker Player Championship 2013 - APAT Member Registration Process
Post by: MarkTheShark on August 05, 2013, 16:50:43 PM
Registration for the 2013 Pub Poker Player Championship for APAT Members is now OPEN.

To secure your place in this unique event, please follow the simple process below.

Please visit the LPPL Website (www.LivePubPokerLeague.com)

IF YOU ARE NOT AN LPPL MEMBER

Please quickly register yourself - you need to do this simply to access the area to register for the event - although this also means that should you ever play an LPPL event in the future, you will already be a member and can also access our player forum.

Basic details are only required - the online registration form can be found by going to the "Free Membership" section on the Top Navigation bar, and then selecting Register as a Player.

Once you have quickly completed the form, you will be sent immediately a confirmatory email with a temporary password - which is used along with your email address to Log In. You can change this password to something more memorable once you Log In via the Your Details section.

IF YOU ARE ALREADY A MEMBER - OR ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE ABOVE

Log In to the site using your email and password

Visit the LPPL ONLINE SHOP - Green Box to the right across the top of the screen

Here you should be presented with a list of products - identified by graphics and titles.

APAT Members should select the "Pub Poker Championship 2013 - APAT Registration" product

From there you follow the simple process in "buying" the registration - you will need to pay £30 for your buy in and once done, you will receive immediately a confirmatory email validating your purchase.

From there we will register you directly and the process is complete - you simply then need to turn up and play!!

For full details of the event, please see the following focused thread below :

http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=14093.0

We hope you will participate in what promises to be a great event.

15% of the prize pool (including rebuys) seems a steep amount of rake.

Most comps add 10% to the buyin, where this is 17.5% roughly.

Is there a reason for this particular charge?

Agree. And those comps that add 10% juice are mostly dealer dealt - this is 17.6% juice to self deal. It is very high when compared to the marketplace...

Sorry Rob, I"ve been on holiday for the past week and I guess I normally pick up this type of post.

LPPL works in a different way to APAT.  It actually has three employees, while APAT does not have any.  Mark is full time managing the LPPL pub relationships and events (and increasingly helping at APAT), as is Kim who runs the LPPL admin (issuing and chasing 200 invoices to pubs monthly amongst many other things) and Katrina who is the book-keeper.

LPPL have ran successfully with this type of cost structure over the past six years, but it is different to what APAT would typically offer of course.

Thanks Des

With APAT acquiring LPPL, I was very surprised that an event under the APAT banner would have such a charge and be self-deal.

However, this explains things. Thanks again

185 players in last nights comp. Looks like gala can fill the 200 capacity easily. Maybe Apat  here in future...

Reg closed an hour ago (a little later than originally published) so anyone registered before that time is in. I"ve checked the list and you are indeed registered.

Registration is now closed for all players for this Saturday"s 2013 Pub Poker Players Championship at the Gala Casino, Bristol.

Any players still wishing to play this event must now turn up on the day and buy in directly for £30 cash. You must still meet the eligibility requirements (see first post).

I"m running a £10 last longer for this, so if you would like to get involved then post up with your name or send me a msg or email (tfeilding@hotmail.com). I can accept stars xfer (ashhen), bank transfer or cash ahead of the game. Just so long as everything is squared up before the start of play. It is winner takes all, regardless of whether you cash or how many rebuys you make. I"ve opened this up to gambling network forum and Bristol Meetup too, as both groups will supply plenty of players.

And if you need to find me ahead of the game, then I am Tom Feilding. Someone like Suzanne or Matt Dale can point you in the right direction.

BCPC will be in attendance for this, at least 5 of us in the car, possibly a 6th there also.

Beer and sandwich purchased from Morrisons for the journey. Nice to not be driving for a change though I still have to put up with Tony Trippier"s arse for 100 miles or so.

See ya there :)

Congrats to the only APAT finalist Terry Farrow on a 3rd place finish and winning the last longer. He was pretty disappointed not to have won a trophey, but a decent result in what was only his 4th APAT appearance. Well done buddy.

Well Done Terry!!

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to LPPL, I had a great time with some lovely people and hope to attend another in the future. I came a respectable 21st so happy with that...well sort of happy lol. :)
