Here we are at Dusk till Dawn for Day 2 of the UKCOAP - Mark the Shark here again bringing you the thrills and spills as it happens (ish!) - today ill be joined by Des Duffy - a less glamorous assistant than I had yesterday - but no doubt equally as efficient!
The 6 Max and Team Events are both underway - The Scots arriving decidedly late for the Team Event - and the 6 Max having tables added to it after getting underway also - so we"ll let that settle down to get an accurate list of runners for you before bringing you hand action and elmination.
England A will look to defend their lead in the team event which is played to conclusion today - they play a round of NLHE, then PLO, then one more NLHE before the league is decided and the medal HU matches are finalised.
Should be a great and exciting days poker - please gimme a shout if you want progress on any specific and we"ll bring you pics as usual from the day.
Dont forget still time to get into the Cash Tour event also - starts at 21:00 tonight - so put your name down on the reserve a seat thread or be here on time to play in that tournament.

They"re not wasting time in the Home Ints with Scotland A"s Clare Duffy and Wales B"s Paul Hudson getting it all in after seven minutes of the final phase of play. Chopped pot results....
For either country to make the medal playoffs will require maximum points and risk.

Team event:
Stuart Ward of England B OUT, to Steve Roderick of Wales B.
10 8 versus 10 Jack on a 10 10 x board. Ouch.
England B"s chances of making the medal playoffs takes an early hit!

We"ve just lost Arnold Baggott in 25th, meaning everyone remaining in the Six Max is now in the cash.
-
Nobody seems to be adopting a "he who dares, wins" strategy in the Home Ints at the moment. It"s playing tight, which means we"re likely to see a lot of flips for points in the next hour or so. The Irish continue to lead the way, but England vs Ireland playoffs in both medal matches remains a very real prospect.
-

Cheering on Dave,Darren, & Stu O. for the win gl guys.

Things at a critical point in the Home Ints.
We will definitely have an all Ireland final, but there is a single point separating England B and Wales A, with a place in the Bronze medal playoff against England A at stake.
England B currently have that point in hand and both countries have 1 player left. James Barber (England) and Darren Underhill (Wales). James is extremely short and probably all in next hand...

Bad news for Dave Howard on the final table of the Six Max as he exits in seventh place. Our focus has been on the key hands in the Home Internationals, so we haven"t got hand details.

Just had a quick chat with Dave Howard.
Ace Ten not good enough against Darren Shallis" pocket Sixes. Despite the nut diamond draw on the flop, Dave couldn"t improve.
Queens lost to Stuart Oliver"s Ace Queen.
Tens then lost to Stu again, holding Kings.
Then Ace Nine against Nines. Dave hits the Ace and Mo Sadiq hits the case Nine on the river.
Following a treble up, Dave finds his flooped top pair not good enough against Simon Smith"s limped pocket Queens.
This all took place within 14 hands...ouch and out.

Finally, a very hearty well done to Kevin O"Hanlon for securing the individual leaderboard points win.

Incredible atmosphere at the team event, evident in the huge rail that enjoyed the rollercoaster battle between James Barber and Welshman Darren Underhill, that eventually saw Barber grind his way back from one blind, taking England B to the playoff and eventual Bronze.

Mo finishes in the Bronze medal position and Stuart has the chiplead heads up against Rajiu.

A couple of big hands that went the way of Raiju Sakaria and he takes down the Six Max title.
First when he held pocket Kings on a King high board. Stuart held the final King and the chips went in on the flop. Stuart held a tiny chip lead prior to that hand and he found himself all in in the following hand with Five Two against Five Three, which held.
We"ll post the final pictures from the event before play starts tomorrow due to technical issues here at DTD.
We"ll see you back at 2pm for the main event, to be followed at 6pm by the High Roller event.

First time I"ve had a chance to go on the forum since Sat night so wanted to say a belated very well done to Ireland B, Ireland A and England B. James Barber played a hero couple of games to take England B into the bronze play-offs and then win the crucial heads-up match against Carl. Fantastic weekend and very honoured to be picked for England. Also great team mates and just a shame we couldn"t win it for the Pilgrim. Good luck to the boys and girls in Prague!
