This http://www.fitzwilliamtownhouse.com/index.htm hotel is about 60 yards from the Fitzwilliam.

I think there"s a link to a sister hotel on the site as well that"s not that much further away from the Fitz.

Not sure how full either of them are........

As well as thise, Brendan told me about UCD.  They have hostel-type single rooms for something like £33 a night.  It"s a few miles out of the centre.

It"s filling up quickly apparently.

Indeed, stayed there after last years Irish National.

Nice place, perfectly reasonable hotel about 10 minute walk from the FItz...the attached Gasworks bar/restaurant is a nice place to eat/drink/socialise.

I found another place which was nice and quiet it only 3-4 minutes walk from Fitzwilliam Card Club, its Baggot Court Townhouse.  Got a good rate throught their website www.baggotcourt.com (http://www.baggotcourt.com)

I used a hostel once because couldn"t find rooms it"s Morehampton Hostel in Donnybrook with is a mile from Fitzwilliam their website is http://www.morehamptonhouse.com (http://www.morehamptonhouse.com)

All the best

Indeed, the only rooms they had were Twin beds, so ideal for Two APAt"ers sharing.

So sparing any APAt"ers staying there hours of "Thrilling" stories from Tiny Tim.....

What"s with this hotel malarky???? I thought the Fitz was open 24 hours a day? Don"t tell me some of you are planning on sleeping?  ::)

Sigh, you need to change your lifestyle people if you want to compete.  ;)

Ok people looks like i hopefully have managed to get rid of the ticket for AllanD who can"t make it.

This leaves 2 nights accomodation at the harcourt hotel

http://www.harcourthotel.ie/

price for 2 nights is 185 euro (again open to negotiation as you would be sharing with me  ::) )

I would suggest that anyone who is booked into one of the hostels (i stayed at the Jacobs last year and will certainly never try that again) to consider this as it will make your weekend far more comfortable/enjoyable...
