Looking forward to battling with Mark Lassman on my table, seem to see him every PLO final table.
Also out of position to Warren Jones and Matt Carter.
Could be fun

Sounds like a fun table

Derek Rowlands, yesterday"s PLO H/L champion, is out early doors today.
-
Scott Berridge may be coming back with a monster stack (220k) in tomorrow"s Day of the Main Event, but he is out of the Omaha at the hands JP Round.
Scott hits the sraight with 86T7 with a flop of 8 9 J.
The turn of 8 and River of 6 improve his hand to a Full House.
JP"s pocket Jacks however, give him a bigger, rivered, Full House.
-
Shiu Tim Man (no pun - genuine name!) is currently one of the chippies in the PLO - well over 40k is in front of "Timmy"
Blinds are currently 300/600 with an average stack of 21500....53 remaining
-
Michael "Riddler" Perry is at it again and showing a distinct penchant for non-Holdem events, growing his stack with alarming regularity to stand currently at just over 70k
-
Table of death currently going on...all sat facing each other are :
Ian Witt
Chris Webber
Warren Jones
Michael Perry
Matt Carter
plus 3 other poor sods are arent gonna know whats about to hit them!

Michael Perry
-
Dwayne Stacey out in the PLO,
he shoves with AJ97 and is up against AAK4....8867 also coming along for the ride.
Board runs out a raggy 42T46, which is no good for Dwayne and he exits the event!

Just to pour a little more fuel on to the fire, Dann Williams has joined the table!!
-
Michael Perry running like a greyhound feeling especially energetic.........
against the two other big stacks of the table, Perry manages to flop top set, against bottom 2 pair and the nut flush draw.
He avoids all manner of outs to claim the pot and increase his stack to nearly 300k. Nearly a third of the chips in play.
-
Chris Webber out - another table broken and incoming now to the fray come Asa McGrath and Paulie Davis.
This wouldnt be the worst Final Table in the world........but as it is its one of the last 3 tables...24 remaining blinds now 1500/3000
-
Asa
-
dunno what that last post was meant to say - but as i find it mildly amusing im gonna leave that there.
It probably was saying that Asa is down in the PLO, as is Dutch serial final-tablist Rieuwert Fleer
-
Down to 16 in the PLO
-
3 break in the PLO - left standing :
Steve Johnson 53000
Roddy Farmer 31000
Tim Man 67000
Darren Taylor 56000
Paulie Davis 59000
Matt Evans 75000
Ian Witt 41000
Paresh Mahendra 82000
Rita Galvin 75000
Dann Williams 44000
JP Round 33000
Dan Dennehy 118000
Michael Perry 320000
Matt Carter 72000
Blinds will be 2000/4000 upon return
-
Steve Johnson and Ian Witt clash....
chips go all in pre flop - Ian 3-bet shoving for 42k with AAQT and Steve calls with AT63
Steve flops a gutshot straight draw which gets there on the river
Ian Witt down
-
Dann Williams taken out by the machine that is Michael Perry.
No Team Gotham love showing there.........
-
Dan Dennehy taken down - crippled by Paresh Mahandra - both having an Ace on an AAx flop, but Paresh filling up on the river - then JP Round finishes Dan off with a K high flush of clubs - Dan needing a 9 on the river to fill up his 2 pair - but cant make it

This is the 6th renewal of the APAT WCOAP, and never in its history has a player defended the title they won the year before.
This is now seriously under threat, as Michael Perry is currently crushing the final table, playing Pot Limit Omaha of truly the highest standard.
Michael won the event in 2013 - and has just eliminated Steve Johnson, who takes 6th place cash, in two successive hands.
Firstly Michael pots the opening raise of Steve, to which Steve folds.
Then, the same happens - this time Steve makes a stand and ships - Micheal calls and shows AA72. Steve has KQJ6.
The pocket Aces were nice, but a flop of T22 even better for Michael - and when another Ten arrived on the turn, Steve was drawing dead.
This win took Michaels stack to a set of blinds shy of 600,000....over half the chips in play.
APAT history in the making.................?
-
Blinds are currently 5000/10000
-
JP Round has done superb to reach 4 final tables this week but it looks like his PLO adventure is about to end.
When he pots from the button Matt Evans re pots from the BB and they all go in.
JP has KKK8 Matt AJT4
The board runs out A324Q and JP is down to 2 BBs
-
And he"s gone....running into the behemoth that is Michael Perry.
No loss to A high or 2 pair either. A boat 7s full of Tens if you please.
-
Darren Taylor has The temerity to take a chunk from PLO Perry!
-
Perry takes them back with interest.
On a board of 9JT Perry bets and Darren calls.
The turn is a Queen. Perry bets 75k......Darren doesn"t like it and makes the fold.
He is now down to 100k
Paresh 150k
Matt 130k
Michael 800k
-
Michael gives Matt a riddle he can"t solve and busts him out in 4th place.
-
Paresh seems to be the one who is coming for Michael...first calling a sizeable river bet to take a good pot then taking a chunk from Darren as well to go clear in 2nd place
-
Darren doubles up thru Michael as his 2 pair avoid the flush and straight draws
-
Next hand the chips go in on a 367 board between Paresh and Darren, with Darren being at risk
Both have flopped the straight however Paresh also has a nut diamond flush draw and it gets there on the turn and we lose Darren in 3rd.
Michael Perry v Paresh Mahendra for the PLO championship
-
First hand heads up and the chips go in on a 32J flop
Paresh A458
Michael J2K9
Paresh takes the lead as a 6 hits the board though Michael picks up a flush draw on the turn....but a blank 3 on the river gives Paresh the pot and suddenly it"s really game on and Paresh takes the chip lead.
-
couple of slow hands then :
Michael raises pre flop and Paresh calls
flop is Q8J
Paresh bets and Michael is obliged to call with what he has behind - but he is in bad shape, showing AT86 to Paresh"s QKQJ
The board runs out drier than the desert in mid-summer for Michael, being a 4, then a 3, and Paresh Mahendra is the APAT 2014 PLO Champion.
Huge kudos to Michael Perry for such a fantastic defence of his title....he was a turn/river away from APAT history, but Paresh was not to be denied and is a fine player, there is no doubt
2014 APAT WCOAP Pot Limit Omaha Result :
1 Paresh Mahendra - £1,155 + Gold Medal + Championship Bracelet

3 Darren Taylor - £510
4 Matt Evans - £380
