Title: Fri 16 May 8pm - Season 8 Announcement
Post by: IrishTom on May 13, 2014, 01:10:47 AM: Ladies and Gents, I"m sure it"s very frustrating for you having to wait for news of this - but, in the belief that I"m sure you would want as much confirmed detail as possible, I can assure you that 95% of everything that needs to be confirmed beforehand has been done, and, whether the other 5% can get confirmed by Fri or not, we will be releasing the Season 8 details at 8pm this Friday.

Dates, venues and events are 99% confirmed, it is just a few "other things" that don"t necessarily need to be out in the open that need to be addressed so we can be happy with our final decisions before advising you with as much confirmed detail as we can - the work will continue behind the scenes this week and, come Fri 8pm, whatever we have will be released even if we have to add "TBC" to some details.

Tom's being working on this for months...months, I tell you and from what I know (but can"t tell yet) it"s pretty feckin" awesome.

There will be something in there for everyone, including some long requested locations and some surprises too.

It"s gonna rock some worlds.

I don"t see that coming back TBH....what we have now, although, admittedly, imperfect is a much more flexible option for the majority of players and APAT is all about spreading the love.

At least that"s what Bilbo Duffy tells me. :)

The G in Walsall has, I understand, been completely revamped and has new cardroom management since APAT were there all those years ago*.

However, you should not read anything into the above.

Based on the guesses so far some people are going to be pleased and some disappointed.

Par for the course I suppose...however, I like it. :)

Lose Cardiff as unless things have changed they just don"t have a casino that can hold the event (if that has changed fine leave it there). Replace with Bristol. Remove Vegas, replace with ECOAP at Stratford or Manchester.

I understand though that the buffet (do we still do those ?) at the New Talbot, would be something very special though. I think a Black Country visit would be good, and we make it a BCPC Bounty Main Event :)

The South Coast does now hold a lot of the 25/25 series events. Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton and even Bournemouth (I"ll believe it when I see it in a few weeks time).

Have to agree with you Dave, Southampton would be a great venue for APAT. Plenty of hotels, city centre location. Lots of bars, restaurants and other establishments around the casino location. Easy to get to by car, train or plane. We could organise a side event on the Isle Of Wight.

Time it right to coincide with the annual Boatshow, and we could have the final table on a Sunseeker yacht. Now that would be another first for APAT.

Yeah, always in choppy water, going up and down a lot. Much like his chipstack in APAT events :)

Bournemouth 25/25 series is this month May 23rd - 25th
