I havent played this before, mainly because I preferred to play the champs at DTD but thinking this year I will give it a go.
Ive looked at the schedule and have decided to play Day 1c on the Tuesday, mostly because if I get knocked out early I can play the battle of the sexes game :)
I recall from reading updates previously that you could enter as a "last longer team" but cant find anything about it. Does anyone know if this is still an option?
So whos playing and on which days?

Nice 1 Barry, not won a seat yet but will give the sats a go soon. Plan is to win 2 seats so a possible rebuy or give it another go next day. Only booked one night so hoping to get lucky :)

Now got 2 seats which is what I aimed for :)
I have a rebuy if I get knocked out early or another entry for the Wednesday. Only problem that I might have is if I end up going deep on the Wednesday and miss the last train home as I have no hotel booked and they are all pretty much full already. Will tackle that one if and when it happens.
I struggled a bit with the sats, too used to Apat sats with decent structures i guess. Played 5 in total at a cost of £132.50 so although I have them cheaper than cost price its a bit more than I would like to have paid. Hotel for 1 night £70, train fare £58. Obviously I am hoping to make day 2 which be another hotel (if I can find 1) and train fare...starting to wish I hadnt bothered :/
On the plus side, I have wanted to play the Goliath since it started so its another box ticked. GL me.

Tom the "team event" forms part of the "main event" - the results from "individuals" (who register as a team) are added together from their main event performance - so we"re putting together a Team APAT - of individuals playing the event - be good to welcome you onboard and hopefully I"ll see you on the Friday...

Fell into a sunken grave at work and banged my knee up. Cannot work on my house now the sun has come back out so I might just mosey on down to the G myself. Needed an excuse as I need to save my holidays for the house extension. Probably Sunday. MOT monday, dog at the vets wednesday the list goes on

I work for the Commonweatlh Wargraves Commission, erecting a new headstone in Blackburn Cemetery which is hilly and overgrown. Lost balance trying to move old headstone and fell into sunken grave, which was full of brambles, hitting my knee and elbow. If only my mate was filming I could of made £250 on You"ve been Framed.
When you are trying to build an extension on your house, any downtime when the weather is good sucks! So a bit of poker won"t hurt.

My change of plans is mostly because I found out 2 local guys are playing on Friday. They are not Apat regulars but both played in the Bristol event. They are decent players (one made last 2 tables) so are available for the team event if anyone needs players to make up the numbers.

sorry to see your bustout, just before the hour break i managed to find aces on the button after someone made it 2400 and got 3 callers, i jammed 40k in and one of the callers called off with 99, the river was a 9.
had to wait a whole hour before i could sit back down and begin shoving my short stack in. i did not win when i did.

Unlucky with the aces, they didn"t like to fold any pair on there did they? Bad time to be crippled as well :(
Was close to folding on my bustout hand, but I don"t think folding sets with <50BBs is ever a good play.

Just after the dinner break (can see a ****ing pattern emerge) flop myself a set of 4 after raising pre. Cbet flop and guy shoves on me, I snap. He has a gutshot and immediatly turns it.

He was most helpful to me when he manually registered me for Day 1F as i couldn"t get onto the software at work to do it myself.

Got crushed at Day 1A. Going back for more tomorrow 1D.
Considering what everyone has been saying about the standard being soft, I landed on a table that was just impossible to play on - horrible spot, coupled with 5 levels of not seeing a single Ace of a single pocket pair, made it really tough to get going. Found AA in first hand of level 6, raised UTG for only third raise in several hours and went 6-way to the flop ffs! Knew I was dead on a TT9 flop, but having waited so long for a hand, I didn"t have a fold in me.

I got brutalised today.
First table was woeful for me. A swift QQ < KK and lots of people rivering sets saw me take the reentry.
2nd bullet went alot better, i was pretty card and spot dead all day. Grinded a 10k to 20k stack for most but managed to get to 40k at dinner break, and when we returned it all went wrong.
500/1000/100
Lose a 60k flip (leaving me 12k behind) when it folds to a young scandi in sb playing 30k. He open 2.2k, i 3b the bb to 4.9k, he 4b (6k) and i 5jam 88. He snaps AQss and flops me dead.
Very next hand i get 55 in vs 69o for 12k and double.
Orbit later we open the HJ with 75ss from 26k, to 2.2k. CO peels and BTN makes it 5k, from a 50k stack. I feel he is at it, and his stack size is good to attack. I 4jam it in his eye, he dwells....yes....he calls...bugger....he has Aces!!!! Timing.
He also flops me dead with the door card being an Ace.

Missed the online holding tank for Fri 1f so called the casino to buyin with card - could only pay 50% to then turn up on Fri and pay the remaining 50% (as I hadn"t used my card before with them could only do 50%) - but that didn"t guarantee me a seat - thankfully knew someone at the event yesterday that could buy me in with cash - so seat sorted for Fri Day 1f.
