Schedule of the weekend is HERE (http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=16994.0)
Updates for all the side events will happen in this thread!!
-
-
We just started the Cash Tournaments.
11 brave players decided to give this a try. Amongst them is Rieuwert Fleer of Holland.
He won a WCOAP bracelet last April in London, winning the Razz event.
-
We now have 20 players in the tournament; blinds are .25/.25 for 90 minutes (we are halfway through that level).
-
-
-
We lost our first player on the final table. Yossi"s last chips went in the middle with A5 vs 85.
And 8 on the flop, and one on the river sealed his faith.
7 players left with 66 minutes to play.
-
Vahit strikes ahead and kicks out Claude Frisque by hitting a straight on the river against Claude"s 2 pair.
6 left, 53 minutes.

Too late last night to post the picture of the very first winner of one of our events but here it is:

Because of the huge success in the Main Event, we only have 4 tables available for the Side Event at the moment.
At least 1 more table will open up as soon as possible, but right now we have 40 players. More are waiting, so we hope to get numbers up.
-
4 tables are opening up for this side event. We have more entries but no more available tables. As soon as a main event table breaks up we can open up a 5th side event table since we have quite a few alternates.
Tom will focus on the main event for now. I will focus on the side event a little bit more and support Tom at the main.
-
And we have 4 players to follow in the side event:
T15 S2 Rieuwert Fleer (NL)
T17 S3 Steve Gilles
T18 S5 Ken Vandenplas
T19 S2 Yves Holvoet
Ken makes it in one of the first hands to 15000 with pocket 3"s
He misses the flop totally but reraises still his one opponent. Then he spikes his 3 on the turn to take quite a few moren chips of his opponents.
-
And we have a complete list of players to follow:
T15 S2 Rieuwert Fleer (HOL)
T17 S3 Steve Gilles (GER)
T18 S5 Ken Vandenplas
T19 S2 Yves Holvoet
T16 S4 Diren Yildiz
T16 S9 our own Tom Brady
A fifth table opened up already and we hope to have a sixth in the air soon. We might keep the entry list open a little longer than just 2 levels.
-
Allright, sorry about the delay but we had to do some extra work to get players seated in the side event.
We had to cap it at 60 players who are playing at the moment (50 left as we post this)
Suzanne Pearson was the luckiest to enter the tournament as the last.
Now let"s concentrate on blogging again.
-
Here"s our to follow list:
19-2 Vanja Van Eisen
18-5 Ken Vandenplas
18-4 Pelech
17-1 Richard Baker
17-2 Tamara Claeys
15-10 Davy Goffin
15-2 Rieuwert Fleer
16-9 Tom Brady
16-1 Aurelie La Valle
16-7 Yossi
-
Dutch party at Rieuwert"s table with 3 Dutchmen all together. One of them spikes an 8 on the river for a straight and they go bezerk...
-
-
Chipcounts at the first break after level 100-200 A25
13175 19-2 Vanja Van Eisen
11425 18-5 Ken Vandenplas
7950 18-4 Pelech
6700 15-2 Richard Baker

3225 16-1 Aurelie La Valle
32225 16-7 Yossi

Davy Goffin makes a nice move
Flop was 6d 6s 7s and Davy makes it 1000. The button calls the flop bet.
The turn 2d got checked by both players
On the river 8s Davy is reaching for some chips but the button already puts in 2k. Davy takes a look at the button and shoves his stack into the middle. The button folds fast.
-
Aurelie has to make decision for her stack after her raise to 1k preflop and a reraise to 5400. She thinks out loud and makes a few funny faces before folding.
Richard Baker scoops a pot. Preflop ha makes it 1.5k, Flop 646 with 3 players. Richard continues Allin for 8.7k and takes it down.
-
42/60 players left.
Goffin looses a lot of chips.
He bets preflop 1k in EP and gets 2 callers (in MP and BB)
Flop Qh 7s 9s
The Big blind checks, Goffin c-bets 2.2k but the BB puts it allin after the MP folds. 6k to call which Goffin does
Goffin: Js Qs
BB: 9c 7c
Goffin"s hand doesn"t improve and he looses quite a bit of chips.
also a bit of commotion at Rieuwert"s table. Apparantly there was a 3 way all-in but the final chipcount given to the winning player wasn"t correct . Rieuwert had to put in the difference and the guys cleared the air without having to call the floor. Mistakes happen I guess. Hopefully Rieuwert get"s back on his feet again soon.
-
Another lady out. Aurelie La Valle was spotted at her boyfriend"s table in the main event....
Come on Sue, TID then.
-
Rieuwert out AT vs 22 at 7k left.
Richard get"s bluffed (but not only him)
We pick it up at 3d 6d 8c all 3 players check
3c on the turn and again they all check
8h on the river and the first player to act makes it 2075. I wondered if he had a full or just an ace.
Both players fold and the player shows 2h 4h for a total bluff.
-
Ken Vandenplas splits it
5 way limp with Ken UTG
Flop Ad Ah Kh and a new player at the table bets 2500. Ken makes it 6k and the new player makes the call.
Qs on the board and the new player bets oiut again for 6k. Ken shoves almost 9k so the new guy has to make the call.
Ken A7
New guy A8
and it"s already a split pot ....
We lost Sue and Richard back to back, I wonder what they"re up to .... ;-)
We also lost Vanja Van Eisden, a Dutch female player, never saw a hand of her unfortunately.
-

Tamara Claeys is a firsttimer in tourney poker ans she might have beginner"s luck here in Namur.
She was already playing +50k but now she has a major chiplead being a very bit lucky.
The flop came Q high and both big stacks at the table got it in fait.
Tamara held AQ
Opponent held KK but Tamara was helped when the rivercard turned out to be a third Queen.
Impossible to make a decent count but she has way over 100k with an avg of 33k and 18 left.
Half the field has to go to reach the monies !!!

Goffin takes the first pot on the turn after the break against Mick.
Above sentence makes no sence but Goffin bets out the J turn at a JJ39 board and takes it down.
-
And we also lost our Dutch player in ninth: Robbert Pekel
Goffin takes some chips on a 7Jk9J board. Alessi bets 12k, Goffin pushes 75k more. Time was set and it takes over a minute so Alessi is abliged to fold and he shows a K
-
And another man down Charlet Raphael in 8th place. J8 vs 2 players who split the pot who have hit a 4 on the board.
-
Folded to Davy Goffin at the button and he makes it 15 k to take down the blinds

J and Alessi doubles to almost 40k again or 5 BB
-
