Good morning everyone and welcome back to Namur for Day 1B of the Belgian Amateur Poker Championship!

Day 1A saw 86 players and after 12 levels of play, only 18 of them bagged their chips to come back on Sunday for the conclusion.

We lost most of our BWIN players and qualifiers; the only one surviving Day 1A was Geert Sluys. He has 48.300, which is well below the average stack of about 73.000). But with blinds starting at 1000-2000/300 he still has chips to play.

Chipleader is Italian Salvatore Stancamdiano who has 146.900 as he edged out Ruben Teck with 145.300.
Poker Belgique player Kevin Pietquin is in 3rd with 128.300.

Day 1B promises to be a big one... We"ll have a dozen of Brits in the field today; and numerous Dutchies and Germans are also expected to make their way over here.

5 more BWIN players will also be playing; one of them is Joachim Wallaert who currently sits 2nd in our APAT Belgium Player of the Year ranking.

And we have Jerry Vandyck and Jan Kusters; who were both part of last season"s APAT Team Belgium.

Good luck to everyone; play will be begin at 14:00 sharp!

Big pot on table 13 already...

Seat 5 opens and is call by seat 10. C- bets a JJT flop and is called. Turn is 4h a 2nd heart. Seat 5 fires 1k is raised to 2.5 and tank calls. River is 3h seat 5 checks and seat 10 fires 3.5k which is raised to 7. Seat 10 eventually calls and is shown 44 for the turned house... He"s down to 5k

SusiePea also on this table with me and is raking in chips as we speak

Ladies and gentlemen... We will be close to a sell out crowd today.

It"s still pretty hectic trying to seat players; the casino is waiting on a few extra dealers.
But me might get close to the 200-mark...

We saw our Red Jacks player Ken Vandenplas get involved in a hand.

Ken is the button on seat 2. Seat 6 calls preflop, Ken raises to 150. The blinds get out of the way and the player in seat 6 makes the call.

Ken cbets 250 the  3c Jd 10c flop and gets a call.

Action slows down after the  A s turn.
Ac on the river; Ken bets 625 and his opponent folds.

Small pot for Ken.

Tables 12 and 13 are very interesting as we have a lot of familiar players there:

Table 12
S2 Joachim Wallaert
S3 Pedro Mahieu
S5 Matt Carter
S7 Simon Brooke
S8 Philippe Lestrade

Table 13
S2 JP Round
S6 Sue Pearson
S8 Jerry Vandyck

Table 7 sees Richard Baker and Rieuwert Fleer sitting together; on table 4 we have Davy Goffin and Jan Kusters.
And on table 2 we have both Ace of Spades players sitting side by side. Niki Raskin is on seat 4 and Omer Aydin on seat 5.

If any of the players following us have a interesting hand to post... please feel free to do so!!

Ger splits a pot 3-way

Ger at the Button and the SB call a preflop raiser (225 at level 50-100)

They all check the flop  7c 4c 6c probably all afraid of running int a draw.

6h at the turn gives action by the SB betting out 325 but called by both players

The river makes it a straight on the felt with the  5d and they all 3 check it out. No one holds 2 clubs and they split 3-way

And we loose our Dutchman Rieuwert Fleer and it"s Richard Baker himself who takes him out.

Rieuwert, left with 975 after his earlier clash, pushes it in and Richard immediately makes a call.

Rieuwert: AKo
Richard: 88

The snowmen stay ahead.

A few chipcounts:

Ken Vandenplas: 18k
Joachim Wallaert: 22k
Guy Baete: 20k ish

Bart Noyelle takes a small pot on the flop against a mouthy Dutchman and shows Aces.

Jan Kusters and Davy Goffin clash shortly:
Raise from UTG+1 to 250 and Jan calls, Davy Goffin, on the button makes it 725 to go and only Jan makes the call. Flop makes  Jh  2c  7d
Jan checks,
Davy bets 1200 and Jan folds.

Bert Geens, a Namur regular,  also arrived as one of the alternates sitting down at a newly opened table

Richard Baker: 18,5k
Ann Blieck; 13k
Ken Van Den Plas: 12.2k

I saw the chips move away from Ken to another player on a 3584J board. I assume Ken tried to get rid of his opponent who called him off with deuces. Ken held ATs. 2 bad.

On table 10 we see Efendi Deliboyraz with a 35.000 stack.

In the SB he calls a raise  from the player in seat 6.
Efendi donkbets the 8 6 3 rainbow flop, and is called.

Check check on the 7 turn

River is J and Efendi makes a pot bet.
Seat 6 folds and Efendi shows the bluff with 94.

Joachim Wallaert  (Joachimpjes) is taking small risks but playing very well.

We pick up preflop with UTG minraise to 300 and 2 callers. Joachim at Cutoff -1 makes it 2025 to play and I got a peak at his hand (J2). He made them all fold. Nice move Joachim.

Jerry Vandyck asked for my opinion on a hand against JP:
Jerry held pocket 8"s and limps in, JP made it 400 to play and SB, BB and Jerry complete.

Flop: 85Q

The blinds check, Jerry check calls JP"s 400 bet.

Turn: 7

Jerry bets 1600 now and JP raises to 4000. Jerry makes the easy call.
Both players have  about 8k left and the pots counts towards almost 11k. Both players have about 8k behind.

River: 8

Quads for Jerry who pushes his remaining stack, JP folds.

Jerry was wondering if a small bet (4k something) wouldn"t have been a better bet there. Honestly I"d bet 3.5k something. Nice pot anyway Jerry.

We just lost Davy Goffin on table 4.

Davy raises to to 375 and gets reraised to 1225. Davy calls to see a flop with 88.

Flop comes T8K.

The player in seat 6 bets 1250; Davy reraises to 3600 and seat 6 calls.

Turn is another T and both player check.

River is an A and seat 6 goes insta-all in. Davy calls off most of his stack only to see his opponent"s pocket aces.

2 hands later Davy loses his last chips; we"ll see him back in tonight"s side game.

Joachim Wallaert also doubled up against Matt Carter
we pick it up at the turn 73JJ and a shove by Joachim for 2975, Matt calls with AK and runs into Joachim"s KK

He told me he lost AA vs 77 at first with a flopped top set and a rivered flush against

Then we see him all in with Ah Qd vs Ts Qs -> 6h 9h 5h th As doubles him up

Niki Raskin is involved in a few pot but has to give up on the flop each time. Still a safe stack for him.

We lost Pedro Mahieu on table 12.

3 players see a  9s 10s 4d and we see Joachim bet. Pedro raises all in for about 5.000.

The player in seat 4 reraises all in as well. Joa tanks and folds his hand.

Pedro shows AT for TPTK
Seat 4 shows T9 for 2 pair.

No help for Pedro on turn and river.
He came to Namur with a bunch of friends. Bart Noyelle, our BWIN promotion winner is 1 of them.

We might see him back tonight in the cash game.

We are midway level 5 (100/200-25)

We just lost Ger...

I asked him what happened, and he said: "I got beat"

Simple...

Off to attack the cash tables I suppose...

I may be joining him soon... on the rail not at the cash table... Down to 7k... Lost a bit pot when I think we were bluffing each other but I did not have the kahunas to call all in on the river with A high... Feeling I was good though

Never stopped you versus ME!!!!

First couple of hands and we lose Richard Baker.

Seat 1 goes all in for about 5000 chips; Richard on the button reraises all in for a thousand more; blinds go out of the way.

Richard has AK, but is trailing seat 1"s AA.

Flop comes AK6 and Curly need running Kings... No miracle and Richard is left with 775.

Very next hand he goes all in; 2 callers check down a 872KK board.

The player on the button has TT and that beats Richard"s 9-7

Richard is now on the alternate list for the side event...

Philippe Lestrade, who seems like hcashing in almost every tournament he is playing, now plays a 36.000 stack.

On a  2h 3h 5s board, Philippe calls an all in with  Ah Kh for a flush draw, 2 overcards and an inside straight draw.
The player who is all has JJ.

Turn is a 4 and that gives Philippe the pot.

He now plays 36.000

Pokergirl An Blieck just told us she cracked kings with K9.

after a small raise and a call, An (on the button) decides to see a flop and throws an extra 600 chips in the pot.
Flop is J99 and An checks to the original raiser.

They get it all in at some point (unclear if it"s before or after the turn) but An doubles up and now has about 25.000

107 players left with a 26.000 average stack.

Tom Clark, the man who almost was a citizen of a real country, busted on table 8.

With A8 he raises preflop and gets 1 caller.
Both players check the A2A flop.

Turn is a K.
Tom bets 2000 and gets a call.

River is a Q.
Tom bets 6000, other player goes all in for 14k and Tom calls.

Opponent shows AQ

Then his last 7000 chips went in the middle on a coinflip. 77 for Tom vs AK.

A on the river and Tom is out.

We have Matt Carter on table 12 and Paulie D on table 10.

There"s a new break in 30 minutes and we"ll be getting you their chipcounts asap.

On table 20 we still have Jan and An.

Jan is playing an healthy 75.000 stack. An has 25.000

Philippe Lestrade is out on table 12. His KK are beaten by QQ when his opponent hit a Q on the flop.
Philippe keeps betting his hand and calls an all in on the river. He thought his opponent missed his flush draw.

We also lost Bart Noyelle. In a 3-way all in he has QQ vs TT vs AK... Board is 9277T and the river card eliminates Bart from the tournament.

About half of the players are eliminated. 87 players remain with a 32k average.
During the break we"ll try to catch up with some of the top stacks.

Final break of the evening... With 3 more levels of play tonight we still have 83 players left. Average is 33.433

We are spotting a few stacks between 70 and 90k... but Nigel is definitely one of the top 5 stacks with 83.000.

With 2 UK players left, we will surely keep track of their progress.

Not that much to tell.

Omer Aydin takes one preflop with a limper so it"s just a small pot.

Jan Kusters takes one down on the flop. MP raises preflop to 2.5k and get"s called by Jan. A93 flop and two clubs. Initial raiser checks and Jan bets out 4k to take it down.

I"ve been going around the tables to try and spot some bigstacks.

On table 11 we have a player in seat 2 with 80.000 and in seat 9 with 70.000

It seems that the biggest stacks for the moment are both on table 8:
Seat 4 is Tom Deschuytter with 94.000
Seat 8 is Erik Nengerman with 92.000

Nigel seems to be clashing a few times with the player in seat 1. When I passed by, Nigel folded to an reraise all in on a K-high flop. The all in guy showed a K.

Matt Carter has joined An and Jan on table 20. He"s still trying to pick a spot to get his chips all in.

Cedric Sevrin just doubled up. He had little over 3.000 left when it was folded to him on the button.

He went all in, the BB calls.

Cedric: J7
Seat 2: 52

Cedric hits a 7 on the flop, turn is a 5, river a blank.

He now plays about 7.000

Table 7 lost 2 players in 2 hands.

First we lose Johan Naessens. He shoved his last 13 big blinds with 88. Niki wakes up with kings and makes the call.

No help on the board and Johan is out. Niki plays 77.000

Hand after that, player in seat 5 goes all in with A7 and gets called by the BB who has pocket tens.
Again no help for the worst hand.

We have a new chipleader. Team Poker Belgique player "Jazz" won a big pot and is the first to break the 100k mark. He has 116.000. He is on table 20, in between Jan and An.

Cedric Sevrin doubled up again and is back above starting stack.

Tom Deschuytter is the 2nd player above 100k. He now plays 112.000

On table 6 we lost Cedric Sevrin. He managed to get his chips back up to starting stack but he just lost a coinflip when his A9 failed to improve against Nigel"s pocket 3"s.

Nigel is playing 87.600

The hand after that we see an exciting all in hand. Seat 9 goes all in with A9 and is called by QQ.

Flop: 9 4 J
Turn: 9 puts seat 9 ahead with trip 9"s
River: Q, a 2-outer for seat 1 who rakes in the pot.

Final level of the day is about to start and we have 61 players left. The average stack is 45.500.

Biggest stacks are "Jazz" and Tom Deschuytter who both have around 115.000

Yesterday"s big stack finished with 146.900... can someone catch him today?

Difficult decision for Mazairac at a 2d Qc 6c flop and a 9600 pot. Didier bets out but gets to see a reraise of 36300. He folds after some heavy thinking.

Omer Aydin is doing ok.
Omer makes it 2400 preflop and his neighbour and the BB call.
flop Ah 3c Td
Omer bets 3900 and the BB stays around
Kd induces checking by both players
Jd on the river and omer checks again.
The BB bets 5100 and Omer thinks it over before raising to 13k. The BB folds.

Niki Raskin looses 10k but makes a good fold on the flop.

He bets preflop 3.5k and a reraise follows for 10k. He calls.

King high flops and Niki checks. His opponent bets a good amount, Niki folds and gets to se Aces.
