Apologies for the short silence...I"m having laptop issues...and had to go back to the hotel for my backup.

-
Back-up laptop is slower than a slow thing in Slowland but well keep at it while the primary does it"s self-repair.
As Asa mentioned we"ve lost our first player already.
On the bright side, we have our own APAT Players lounge.

-
Primary laptop is now back..phew!
In on-topic news we"ve moved to Level 2 50/100
-
How many players have you got so far Paulie?
-
Another player down...maybe two. The calls came on top of each other.
It"s early yet but clearly they aren"t shy about gambling here in Yorkshire.
Checked on some more well known names but stacks are about normal with the exception of APAT's fashion-plate Tony Trippier who is on c,25,000
-
How many players have you got so far Paulie?
Registered just shy of 120 but we"re expecting a few more in the late reg period.
We have some competition from the other Leeds Grosvenor who have their own 30k stack £50 re-buy today.
It"s actually a comfortable number for this cardroom.
-
24.5k, set of 6"s to knock out a short stack, managed to push Tom
Clark off a flush draw which hits. Win a nice hand ak vs Aq blind v blind as well.
-
We"re really being hit with the tech bugs today...the APAT camera is having issues so photos may have to be taken later once we have it back in proper order.
-
Moving to Level 3 - 75/150...as we lose another player.
-
Jo Howard gets back to starting stack with a rivered full house with QQ on a A252Q board...dishing out a bad beat to the holder of the Ace.
Karen Mead on 20kish.
-
Looks pretty packed. What"s the capacity?
Nice one on the updates thus far :)

I"d guess 180 max capacity but it would have been tight...not Wales tight but friendly. :)
-
Players are now on a short break as we reach the end of Level 3.
I"ve discovered the downside of the APAT Update location...we"re overlooking Tony Trippier"s table
(http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm297/PaulieDavis/2014-10-11_16-48-16_HDR_zps5d2e67b8.jpg)
I"m thinking of claiming these on expenses.

Adam Sharples - 21.5k
Gets away from TT on a JT7 flop against 77 and 98. Not sure I could have found the fold there....but apparently the action made it an easier fold than one might think.
Ken McBride - 16.5k

Incredibly good fold. Don"t think I can make it either. vwp! Do you know if 77 stayed in and got there?...
-
Level 4 - 100/200.
Action seems to have quieted down a little since the break.

As I understand it the player with 98 jammed for 15k after a 2.5k three-bet from Adam. Apparently he was quite tight at the table so that made it somewhat easier.
The 77 player got out too I believe.
-
Tom (UKTom) Clark - 29.5k
Asa McGrath - 35k
There"s some table-ripping going on here.
We"ve lost another couple of players in the last 10 minutes,
Meanwhile, Tony T is still jacking his jaw...and I think he"s made a friend who"s not afraid to talk back. :)

Level 5 now 100/200/25

Ouch...that"s what you get for "fancy" play.
-
Steve Roderick has doubled up...almost back to starting stack.
A3 > A9 apparently. :)
Plenty of play left as we approach the end of Level 5.
We"re under 100 players now.

Dinner break after this level.
-

Rodders has just knocked someone out AA v q 10 all in pre

sensible accurate number from her.
Hundred"s is the best I could get. :)

Could you let me know how Dan Dennehy is doing please....when you"ve had your pizza :) Thanks.

Unfortunately, it"s not good news...he"s been out since just before the dinner break.
-
Level 9 - 400/800/100
-
Fraser Bolt out
-
Despite spreading rumours to the contrary a certain APAT legend is NOT apparently going to be with us tonight.
Tomorrow, however, is another day.
We"re just hoping he doesn"t do the shirtless thing again
-
Asa McGrath just gone
AK < 99
-
Carl Pilgrim has just gone too.
The regulars aren"t doing too well in Yorkshire.
-
Tom Clark out - he shoved A3 clubs for 20bbs in small blind after a button raise, BB called two thirds of his stack with K9 diamonds and flopped 9-J-Q.
-
Nearly - very nearly - but Coors light in the fridge won - I am so weak..............
-
Steve Roderick - 35k
Ken McBride - 20k & biding his time.
GiMac - looked about 25k
Under 60 players now.
-
Nearly - very nearly - but Coors light in the fridge won - I am so weak..............
Sounds entirely sensible to me.
Beer in front of me vs beer 90 minutes away.
Easy choice.
-
Short break before Level 10 - 500/1000/100
54 players left.
-
The APAT chill out lounge is now full.
If your name"s not on the list...you ain"t coming in. ;D
-
Good luck to all apaters left in the event
Best of luck to Ken and Tripps

Special Good luck to Rodders, Ken, Craig, Bill, Duncan, Laura, Rob and Charles and all the rest
-
I busted in level 7 but enjoyed my table throughout the day as it had some good players on it and I got to play some interesting hands.
Surprised it had so few runners today but I don"t think the venue could have coped with it if it had been a sell out. Not very impressed with the staff I interacted with, starting with the two on reception.
Standard of dealing was well below average and there is no excuse for the buffet not being ready till after the break had been under-way for 15-20 mins.
That said the food when it arrived was excellent.
GL to all those who made day 2.
-
Congrats to our UK NLHE Side Event winners:
Anjun Parwez Salam £305
Mario Novoa Martinez £250

The very best of luck to APAT regs including Rodders, Zozzy, Rob Swindells, Duncan and Shep for Day Two... but really hoping that one of the remaining two LBPN lads can take it down today, come on Dave Scothern and Zac Crosland, it would be great if you could bring another medal home to the LBPN ;)
-
Good luck to Zac Crosland and Dave Scothern!
