Results up to and including event #16 of the WCOAP.
As always, if you spot any errors (e.g. you have less points than you expected, you notice someone listed twice under different variants of their names, your name is spelt incorrectly etc.) then please let me know.
The Season 8 leaderboard can be found here: http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=17143

Great, thanks Matt.

Table updated up to, and including, event #18 (though excluding Cash Championship and Main Event).

I am pleased to announce Joe Craig as Player of the Series!
Joe bested 147 opponents to win the popular SixMax event for 9 leaderboard points, and also final tabled the Main Event - finishing in 8th place for another 11 points.

Joe Craig, 6-Max Champion, Main Event Final Tablist, and Player of the Series!
Joe wins free entry to next season"s WCOAP Main Event + 2 side events (excluding high roller event) of his choice.
Special mentions to triple bracelet winner Gabriel Iemmito (Team event, Open Face Chinese and MixMax). A feat that may never be repeated! And to Milena Langdale for winning Antes Only, final tabling the Omaha, and finishing 3rd in the Omaha 4/5/6.
Congratulations again to Daniel Lewis for winning the Main Event! And finally to all our event winners, medalists and all who cashed!

Congrats to Joe but I think the weighting of points needs looking at for next year when a guy can come away with 3 bracelets but only get as many points as someone whose only points are for finishing outside the medals in the ME.
Also a shame that the online WCOAP doesn"t count as part of the series, I feel it"s even further distanced now than it was before (and that coming from the reigning champ). And that my previous post on the subject was deleted.

I think I agree with your point re: weighting of points, and this is something we will discuss "off season". Though, 2 events that Gabriel did win were OFC (32 player cap) and the "closed" Team event (40 players). Obviously still an incredibly impressive feat to combine that with winning the MixMax though! One that, as I"ve posted above, may never be bested.
WCOAP Online didn"t count as part of the series in 2014 either iirc. Also, JP Round is reigning champ isn"t he?* (just about to dash out for a game of squash, so haven"t time to check both those things right now, but will check when I get back). I"m not adverse to them being combined next time round though. Again, something me, Tom & Des will discuss before next time.
Not sure what happened to your previous post on the subject. There"s no "deleted" sign visible.

(and that coming from the reigning champ).
At least try and veil the brag, thinly or otherwise.

Only a week or so left of your reign.... ;)

*Edit: back now. Realise now you were talking about Player of the Season.
I think I remained dignified in my response to that ;)
Also think you were talking about POTS, I was talking about WCOAP Online ME

Yeah, you"re probably right, Bill.
If I don"t win again then I hope UK Tom takes it down, along with a couple of the sides ;)
