Just one thing, apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere.

I like the idea of 2 day 1"s (Offers greater flexibility/choice for players), however I notice only 10 levels being played on day one.

I"m worried that too many will make day 2 as even starting stack at the end of day 1 is 12.5 bb"s. I think this will make for a very long day 2.

I shall be playing Friday as this suits me better so overall I"m very pleased with the 2 start days.

Hi guys, not played live poker before but I am a member of the casino in Cardiff Bay.

Do I need ID to play or a Coral account to play?? I have neither.

I wanna play the £25 NLHE on Saturday 29th.

Also my uncle (who wants to play too) has alopecia, is it allowed to wear a hat in the casino please?

I"ve never been to the casino where this event is being held but assuming it"s the one you are a member of then just your membership card will be all you need to get in. If you are not a member of the casino where the event is then you will be better off bringing some ID to join.

Regarding the event it"s open to all but I"d get there early as it may well be busy with players busting from the main event looking to enter it as well as the locals who normally play on a Saturday night.

Regarding hats. I cannot speak definitely for this G casino but every other one I"ve played in allow hats to be worn in the card room but will usually ask people to remove hoodies and hats when entering the casino and often when playing roulette, blackjack etc for security reasons. In case you are going to rob them!

See this thread for more details. http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=18149.0

Is the holding tank available on Coral? I see some reference to it, but full details only seem to be available for Eventbrite.

edit: Never mind, saw that it"s been and gone.

It"s almost impossible that both potential problems that are worrying me can occur, but there is a chance one of them might.

As I mentioned in my earlier post on this thread with only 10 levels being played for day 1 there is a danger that a large % of the field will make day 2, which might make day 2 longer than usual.

The 2nd worry is, after looking at the low numbers of Pre-reg for 1a v 1b, what happens if the 1a bust outs are rapid?

Is there a number of players or % of players which if reached would mean the day 1a would be forced to stop before the end of level ten?

Without people just turning up Fri night to play the numbers look very low.

Loving seeing APAT move to a multiple day 1 format for National Events!!  Needs some healthy support though - just saw the 1a v 1b numbers on other thread..... 1a is in danger of being an STT, which will damage the concept for future events.

Sadly can"t make this one, otherwise might have considered 1a for the hell of it

I"m going to play Day 1A. Where can I see the player list and are the Eventbrite reserved players shown also?

Thanks

EDIT: Never mind, I"ve found the lists. You"re right, I"d better get some STT practise in. Will have to win Day 1A to finish in the top 10%!!

I"ve pushed the casino to try and get their regulars to play Day 1A on Friday, so fingers crossed - but def worth trying it - esp as in doing it this way it has allowed us to return to a venue in Wales.

I have just received an email reminding me of my involvement in the game this weekend.  I have reserved a seat via Eventbrite for Day 1b. I thought that I would have to register and pay before the start time on Sat (2.30pm) but the email says that my seat reservation is on Friday at 1800.  Does this mean that, although I am playing Day 1b, I have to register and pay before 1800 on the Friday?

Please say that it doesn"t, otherwise it will be an 8 hour round trip on Friday!

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Hi Dave, it"s probably just the way I set up Eventbrite for the Welsh event - which must have been wrong!

Without doubt, everyone who has reserved via Eventbrite has until their Day 1 event start time to register/buyin and claim their reserved seat.

I"ll look at the system to send another email to clarify the situation for everyone - thanks for the heads up.

No problem, thanks for the prompt reply.

See you Saturday along with 2 other West Cornwall Pasty Boys (Scott Brown and Jon Lane).

A new email has been sent to all those who reserved a seat which should clarify the position for them.

Yes, I"m hoping that some regulars will just sign up on the spot.

Does anyone know how many runners they would get for their standard Friday night comp?

Hi,

I know this is sounding a little pessimistic, but is it possible to reserve seats for the PLO on Sunday, in case I don"t make Day 2?  I"ve noticed a couple of people have done it via Eventbite, but I think the ticket sales are closed on there now!

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon, it"s buy-in at the casino only for the side events now.
