APAT Online UK Team Championship, 6pm. Sunday 13th September 2015. £20 + 2 buy-in per player
This year, APAT are running the Online version of the UK Team Championships before the Live counterpart (being held in January 2016). The online version of the event will also act as a qualifier for the live event. We are expecting to be oversubscribed again for the live event (over 50 teams applied for 33 places last time round), so winning a place in the online version is the best (only) way to guarantee your team"s place*
*Unless you have already qualified.
Please read all the below before submitting a team.
PC users, if you don"t already have the APAT Coral software, please download from here: http://www.apat.com/online/
Mac & Linux users can play using the HTML5 version of the software (more details/APAT link to follow).
The Game
Password: apatmemb
6pm start (no late reg. but a full week of early reg, so please make sure you are registered in time!). 10k starting stack. 12 min blind levels. Password protected. Standard Coral payout (100% of entry fees go to individual prizepool).
The top 3 teams will win an "Invite" (unpaid) to the live APAT UK Team Championship (taking place Jan 30/31st 2016 in lovely Luton) for their team.
We will also be awarding Gold, Silver, Bronze APAT Medals for top 3 individual players.
Rules
Top 100 players will score points with 1 point for 100th placed finisher, and 100 points for 1st place finisher. In the unlikely event that less than 100 players take part, then the last placed finisher will score 1 point, up to x (where x is the number of runners) points for 1st place.
Tied teams will be separated via number of players who scored points (more players scoring points will decide the higher team. If this is also tied, then the individual higher finishing player will be the tie-breaker).
Eligibility
The APAT Online UK Team Championship is open to any groups of players that would like to form teams. There are no eligibility requirements to be met. Simply form a team of 1-8 players, post the team details (important: see below) and you"re in!
A group can enter any number of teams they like: e.g. Hendon Mob A, Hendon Mob B, Frome Poker Group A, Frome Poker Group B, etc, etc. However, if multiple teams from the same source finish in the qualification spots, then the lowest of those teams will not count for a UK Team Championship Live "invite". e.g. 1st Gambling Network Forum A, 2nd Gambling Network Forum B, 3rd, Hendon Mob A, 4th Frome Poker Group B; then the 3 invitees would be: 1. Gambling Network Forum A, 2. Hendon Mob A, 3. Frome Poker Group B. Rule change: The top 3 teams will receive "invited" entry, regardless of where they come from. All 3 teams could be the same forum. e.g. Frome Poker Group A, Frome Poker Group B, Frome Poker Group C.
How to enter
Simply post your team name, list of players real names and importantly their **accurate** APAT/Coral nicknames* on this thread. Do NOT post their usernames, or they will score zero (0) points. Every time I post this, teams still end up posting the wrong thing. So, please, just take 10 seconds to check you"ve got it right before posting! Thank you!! :)
Each team can consist of a maximum of 8 players (a minimum of 1). Any players not listed as being part of a team at kickoff, will not be able to be added later.
Please specify who the Captain of the team is, and include their APAT Forum name if they aren"t the person making the post.
* "Nickname" is the name that you see on the table when you"re playing. If you"re unsure which is your username and nickname then list both, but we must have the nickname. Thanks!

Hi Paulie, registration on the forum has been open since August 25th. The online game will be in the lobby from Thursday, with registration open then.
With you being the only team registered so far, and 3 live event spaces awarded in the online event, you are so far guaranteed a space in the live event :)

That"s what I understand Bill.
This online event is just to pre-quaify a group...who plays in the "Live" event for that group"s team does not (as I understand) have to be the same as those who played for that team online.

Exactly that, thanks Paulie.
A team can consist of just 1 player, or up to 8. If the team finishes in the top 3 the Captain chooses a team to take part in the live event. They do not have to be the same players.

This seems unfair IMO as the second team is penalised for playing well, but not quite as good as the first team. All players are APAT players so why shouldn"t they qualify.
Can we look at this please?

Thanks for heads up :) No need to be sad, I"ll contact Coral and ask them to correct it. (in the end, although advertised as "no late reg", I requested 1 level / 12 mins, as there"s always someone who will try to register half a second before reg. closes :) )

Please remember, that all teams must be registered by kick off. You cannot add team members after the game starts.
Due to an iPoker administration error (that I"m trying to fix) there may be 2 hours of late reg. in this game. If that happens, then finishing positions will be based on the lobby finishing positions. However, I"m hoping this will be sorted to just 12 mins. of late reg. as per set-up request, in which case the same applies. Finishing positions in the lobby dictate points earned.

Every one should have registered as soon as they said they could play and if they can not make it or arrive late etc then get blinded out so will earn points for the team. The least that one can do in the circumstances. Some APAT members are not part of other forums so the only possible avenues is this or the APAT team.

The rule is in place for the selections APAT make, but for the qualifiers we waive that rule to give every group of players a chance to qualify.

I can only apologise for the momentous mistake I made...
I was going to register for 6pm and try and bink a double up. I have been working nights all week and Sunday would have been my last night. I didn"t wake up until 6:45 and had to go to work a few minutes later.
I am sorry, and anybody who knows me from APAT knows that I would not have missed the start on purpose.
I hope this won"t put you off for keeping together for the Online League which starts soon.

Thanks to all who played :) With facebook not allowing us to post any events on there, I was expecting a low turnout, but in the end it wasn"t too bad.

Not played on-line much this year so was good to go deep last night and pick up a medal. YPC had 2 players in the top 10 but only finished 6th so goes to show that having 8 players is a big advantage

I"d just like to take this opportunity to say thanks for organising the game last night & although I didn"t personally take part (family weekend away in Wales) my team did all of us at LBPN proud & came up trumps once again!
Our hotel has now been booked, so we will look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Luton come January.
Matt - where you"ve stated you will "PM the team captains to confirm", even though Darrell Hall (Ratfink2) was our stand in captain for the evening, please could you PM the details to me?
