Title: 2-7 Tripple Draw
Post by: rubertoe on September 19, 2008, 07:00:29 AM
I was wondering if anyone could explain the rules for 2-7?

i think that i could probably work it out but i am just too lazy to do it - so a basic overview of just the rules would be great! ;)

Thanks

basic rules.....You get 5 cards face down and try to get the lowest hand by discarding any number of your cards and getting dealt the same number back. This is called a draw and you have three chances to do this (hence, triple draw!)

Straights and flushes do count against you and aces are high, so the best hand is...

23457 then
23467 then
23567 then
24567 then you get the 8 highs and so on....

It is normally a limit game with 4 betting rounds. 2 rounds with the small bet and 2 with the big bet. Betting takes place before each draw and after the third (and final) draw. Like in holdem, SB an BB are also posted.

Everything else is self explanatory ;D

I"m sure stars do this game on free play, so that will give you the best way of undrstanding the rules
