Fantastic to see a forum up finally for the APAT - would be nice to see commentary posted on here for not only live games but also the online ones too ;)

If you've been around the game for a while, you will recognise the need for an organisation which puts players' interests first, and has the authority to deliver at all levels.
The Amateur Poker Association consults with gaming and industry bodies to enhance the player experience; with standardisation of rules, player friendly structures and event sponsorship at the top of our agenda.
The combination of low entry costs, premium regulated venues and professional tournament direction, has ensured that the Amateur Poker Tour has quickly become the affordable proving ground for players wanting to realise their potential in high quality live events.
The APAT forum gives us an opportunity to build our community further. Members can look forward to plenty of lively debate, but please remember it is a condition of entry that members remain civil with each other at all times.
We look forward to discussing and formulating Association & Tour direction with you going forward.

We"ll be doing a live update from Dublin of course, well I will if I can get the boss to run around and get some chip counts
as for the Online Series, maybe. The idea is in my head now, will see if I can do one towards the end of Season 1 when those POTY points become so crucial
-
Hi all and good luck with the forum. See you all in Dublin!!! 8)
-
Finally got round to joining........looks god, see you all in Dublin. ah

See many of you in Dublin!
-
....thank you everyone.

I"m glad to be a member of this forum. Minor complaints about the registration process.
1. during registration, it requires ALL fields to be filled in, even for some that don"t apply. Maybe you can make some of them optional.
2. please do not put the password in the registration email. This is one of my pet peeves.
-
Well done on providing a forum. Look forward to being a member of it. All the best everyone involved. :)
-
Congrats to Des & his Team - the Forum looks a corker.
A Fora"s quality is judged by it"s Members, so I think APAT & it"s Members will keep this place "just so".
-
first poker forum i"ve joined looking forward to posting and reading about the game.
go by the name of efgeesus/fionng

OOPS! didn"t see this thread. I put an introduction thread in the general discussion area.
-
to me as a seasoned forum user i think the forum is a great idea but its layout is a little bulky
it has the look and feel of a forum i moderate (you know the one) but the traffic here the posts and the number of threads are much smaller and as such having so many boards make it hard to keep up with the threads you are intrested in
i would love to see the boards condensed just now untill the number of posts and threads increase to an extent in which its in the forums intrest in expanding
-
Just use the "show unread posts since last visit" option.
-
My first post!
Can hear people thinking "hope it"s his last"
