When I was a kid, I remember ..... 1. If we had no veg for dinner my dad would go out to the garden and dig some. 2. You could get 3 45rpm records for £1. They were 6/8d each. 3. It was a penny return on the tram, to anywhere. (1d old money, which is 240 days of rides for a £1) 4. The streets were lit with gas lights.

You couldn"t fit a Cadburys Cream egg in your mouth all at once! Love Hearts, Refreshers, Marathon Bar, Opal fruits, Space hoppers, Chopper Bikes, Climbing trees, rope swings, Making Dens, eating wild berries, leaving home at 9 in the morning with my mates and not getting back till after dark and my mum not being worried! Chubbing for Bonfire night, mischief night, Playing tig, making trolley carts....... ah those were the days :"(

Well seeing as this has developed into a TV programme discussion I will just throw in Fireball XL5 and Supercar. Everyone remembers Fireball but not many Supercar. Also were you a Blue Peter fan or Magpie, I was originally a Blue Peter guy, buy as I grew older, Jenny Hanleys charms and tight T shirts caused me much interest!

PMSL - surely that still exists but can"t remember last time i saw it.
On a related issue, I remember constantly having dogs whatsits on my trainers, one thing i dont miss about being young.

reading this thread i can relate to the majority of the posts, but i started thinking
I remember some days thinking "how lucky i am to be alive because of the actions/dedication/bravery of my forefathers"
we can"t just REMEMBER one day a year
sorry, just something close to my heart

I was tempted to list everything in a Billy Joel style like "We Didn"t Strat the Fire", but then I realised that there was much worth remembering in the 90s.
Hang on, The Crystal Maze deserves a mention. They should bring that show back, just so that I can go on it.
