The fifth leg of the APAT Close Season Online Mini League takes place on Thursday 27th November 2008 at 8pm on Blue Square.

This leg will be a No Limit Hold Em event.
This is leg 5 of an 8 leg series with your top three finishes counting towards your mini league score.

I should be there thursday when one of the following will happen:
1) I will make it back to back wins which will lead people to believe that it is possible to walk on water, catch a bullet with your teeth whilst blindfold and for Norwich City to play in the Champions League.
2) I will be suffering from sleep deprivation having played a tournament starting at 2.30 am , so will get way too cocky, 4-bet someone all in with six/four offsuit and receive well deserved abuse when my opponent flips over aces which hold up.
3) Will mention Doyle Brunson at least once
4) Will mention Doyle Brunson at least once every bleeding level after I knock him out of his own bounty tournament.
5) Will mention saturday"s victory on numerous occasions, resulting in Blue Square sending a crack squad of gangland toughies to Norfolk to "Teach me a lesson"
6) Or most likely of all, I will probably play like a special needs chimpanzee and then put some whinging entry on my blog about how unlucky I was/ how few cards I had

To make things worse Duke, that was the one and only hand I had full stop. I think my night can best be summed up by the hand towards the end when I was looking to shove with pocket fives, but an all in and call ahead of me convinced me to fold. A five on the flop and five on the turn was the cue for much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I was watching that ten minutes of poker. Could not believe the number of outdraws. Didn"t seem to matter whether you were ahead, behind, very unlucky.

Just looking through the hand history and I was actually behind on one of them when I ran QQ into KK pre. So not all were outdraws, just pretty damn unlucky. At the minute, the Gods are having a laugh and the joke is on me. Saying me prayers and have avoided kicking the cat. lol
All that aside, I really have enjoyed the quality of play on these. Plenty of chips at the start and great play by the runners. Well done to everyone involved! Glad I finally got me act together and decided to join in with ye.

Final tabled, and then got the dreaded call from number 1 son. "Pick me up now" 20 miles away! Had to find a spot to get it all in A J seemed good enough, against 9s ace on the turn. 9 on the river, aaagh. Just got back now, to see stuart and Sharkey battling out. Good luck guys, may the better man win ;)

Anyway, sorry to all those I sucked out on tonight. I did get my money in ahead most of the time - honest.
ul sharkey207, you had about a 5 - 1 chip lead going in to HU but I hit a good run of cards. Just so you know, when you bet the 20k and I raised, I did have it.

WP all,
Another great tourny played in a very competitive but friendly manner, Laxie was very unlucky - she had a bad level and it was my Kings that she ran into with her queens that started it!! sorry!
I was in the SB, There was an UTG raise and Laxie Rasied enough to cover most of the stacks at the table!! those of you that played with me know how tight i am so i aint getting involved without a monster - and KK is always enough.
Congratulations to all that scored Points and Cashed (it was my First APAT Cash) and i"ll see all you for the silly 4 - card game!! up next!

Good game as always and have to say the structure that BlueSq provides for these games is excellent.
Got a good stack on the FT but as ever took on the chip leader at the wrong time.

It was a great come back from Stuart, with about 18 left he was one of the short stacks and at one point was down to less than 5k when the average was more like 12k. I will hear no more sarcastic comments, we all need luck to win these events, as I said when he won, "well played stu". By the way mines a pint ;)

It wasn"t a car crash. It was only about 1/3rd of my chips.
Remember that one of the raises was an all-in from a short stack so that could have been ATC. The other player is a fish (only joking Wayne) so I guessed he was overplaying a small pair. Anyway, at the time I though I was getting good odds.
I also knew that if I did lose chips to Wayne I would easily get them back. ;)

For the record I was also down to 1.5k during the early levels.

All in, a call, a re-raises all in and then you go over the top with AQ odds or no odds strange play. ???
You raise I go all in, you call putting your tournament at risk when you still had chips to play with, strange play
