Standard.

I got two callers with my all-in shove with aces earlier and tripled up.  That"s like a buy one get one free if you ask me.   ;D

On a more serious response to your thread, I"ve got a few things on the shopping list for post christmas in the home entertainment category, but most of the sale stuff online seems to be shifting the out of date technology.  Like the HD 720p TV"s as the 1080p will soon be standard entry level.

Can"t seem to find the real bargain stuff everyone was going on about being available.

I think, technically, you were involved in the bargain hunting Neil. Having paid for the parking and lunch is an admission of actually being there. I therefore find you guilty of shopping without due care and attention, in a built up area  :D

You"ll be watching such TV channels as UK Style next......  ;D

....And I"m still looking for Starluck to land the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham at the 20-odd to one I snaffled a while back. He"s currently available at 14-1 but I expect him to be shorter after he"s run away with the 1.05 at Kempton at around evens.

Just Picked up a 32" LG 1080p TV from comet £350 save £200 - not a bad deal i thought seeing as the entry level Sony Bravia is £330 and it is only Standard 720.

Added bounus its got a PC input! Playing Poker online will never be the same again!

thing i find about "sales"..is the "original" price is something you"d never pay for the item in the first place and most likely not what you"d ever pay, but you"d be happy to pay what it is properly worth..ie/  this " sales " price.

Special Woolworths bargain.

She works for them (until the 5th when her store closes).

They can only accept refunds for faulty goods, so when people want to return things they have to say it"s faulty (or they might be particularly stupid and just think it"s faulty).

They aren"t in any position to send them back to the manufacturers (as they would have done) so they just make a donation to the Christmas fund which is what they"re going to pay to go for a drink with when it"s all over.

Hence:
6 foot Christmas Tree = £0.01
Dyson Vacuum Cleaner = £5 (that one was actually faulty but they only needed a connector for the lead which cost a fiver)
and
Nintentdo Wii = £10
(+plenty of other bits and bobs)
And if she doesn"t find another job soon enough, she can always earn money by selling it all on ebay.
