Club Captain
I"m delighted to appoint Mary Martin as Captain of the Edinburgh Club.

Mary is an APAT Season 2 Champion (you"ve probably seen "the" photo :) ) and a long time supporter of APAT. She"s also been great in promoting this Event so far and I know she will continue to do so during her visits to Live Tournaments in and around Edinburgh.

I"ll be deciding who the Captains are so at the moment we"re just looking to gather names. Ideally I"d like the person themselves to come forward as they"ll be confirming that they themselves are willing to take on the role.

well just been going through the dates for the league, and just noticed there is a 3 week gap between league 12/13 . bit of a shame really as that messes things up for me a bit. the way the league was going each date was on an early week for my shifts which was great, as i could virtually guarantee being there. with the later part of the league it is now a bit up in the air as to whether i will be able to make those dates. the final is on a long weekend so theres no problem with that. there are a total of 6 dates that i cant say for sure at the moment untill my shifts are published nearer those dates.

The first "APAT Nat League - North Div" League Match is now live for registration in the Lobby on Blue Square. To find it, click through to the Tournaments / Specials / APAT tab. All games will start at 8pm sharp.
The password for this is leaguepl
The password will remain the same for the whole of the season.
Feel free to forward this password, but remember players must be signed up to a club before they play. Club registration remains open for the whole of the season.
IF A NEW PLAYER HAS NOT REGISTERED FOR A CLUB ON THE FORUM, BY 8PM ON A MATCH DAY, THEY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO EARN POINTS FOR THEIR CLUB IN THAT WEEK. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

... Belfast looking very strong ... though I rode my luck out to take 4th ... finally dying when I called :as: :2d: vs 7s 7c (I may have got the suits wrong!) ... of course he hits a straight on the river!

wow that was a buzz . must say the league format is great. been on apat since feb 2008 and just started putting in posts this year . met so many people from edinburgh and over the north last night. thanks to all who chated . playing that format gave me that chance,and a comradery with fellow team members you dont get elsewhere. also noticed the support of all the captians to there members at final table . think that tells you why these guys were chosen. gl all in future games to come . roll on feb 15th

Really enjoyed my first online tourney in over a year (no joke). Finished 31st after getting flushed by an all in (10 6 h!!) which I called with AJo.

just come out of blue square an noticed the low number of entrants with just 28hrs to go . 24 names in the hat and my name to be entered is 25 . There was a good 80+ runners for feb 1st.
I was thinking there is still plenty of time for members to enter.
Thats when i remembered all my fellow members will be running around like headless chickens looking for that special something for there loved one . so i think i should stop what i am doing and get to the shop before the wife comes in at five .Not got a clue what to get at this late our . Think my wife will notice the card is from the Spar.

That"s me gone. Kept getting a bit of the flop but not my night really.
I didn"t like how I played my exit hand and should probably have folded to the bet on the flop but the bet looked to me like he didn"t want a call.

We all were dealt some sick beats along the way and got ul towards the end when the blinds were huge, but vvvwp to every1.
Congrats to Glorious, Kingplastik, Eastaway and ImmrChip for making it to the Final Table and points. WTG Guys you got us 16 points putting us into:
1st Place in the overall Northern League Table

sorry i could not help with more point guy"s ma pocket Qs came up agianst 45 of spades for it to hit a straight . that more or less wiped me out to then get dealt pocket 4s next hand, ma all in shove met a 96 hearts for it to hit trip 6s.

We had a brilliant result in Leg 3, putting us top of the Northern League Board.
Lets get it on tomorrow and zoom ahead in the points to lengthen the gap.

The structure is back to the revised 13 min levels with running antes from level 10.

Fantastic performance from the Edinburgh club tonight.
Unfortunately I was unable to play it, but when I got home railed silently as I couldnt chat at tables.
VWD to dja and abaddon for, not only reaching FT, but getting 2nd and 3rd for gr8 points :)

Wasn"t going to be my night when I my re-raise all-in got called and both turned over AJ only to lose to a flush. Built my stack back up to 4000 when called an all-in with AQ, boy turns over A5 and promptly hits the 5 on the flop, down to 400 chips!
Then get pocket Queens next hands, all-in BB calls as it"s only another 200. Turns over 7J and I lose to a straight 5-9!!! ::)

I called with suited connectors in SB knowing I would call a pre flop raise - he raised and I called. Hit 2 pair. I bet out, raise, reraise, him all in and by then I should have realised he had an overpair. A silly call - I would have had 10 big blinds left if I"d folded at that point. Disappointed by my play which is why I"m over the moon Daz and Chris did so well to keep Edinburgh up there.
BTW, OfficePoker Omaha on 28th March if anne fancies it? Chance for an Edin APAT meetup?

Cheers cap - that took an age but I either got total rubbish or hands I couldn"t risk a limp with so had to raise - and it was so tight they rarely got called - should never have limped with KK heads up - risk you take.
Really enjoyed that (thanks railers) and I just wanted to get past 3rd so Edinburgh got the points - had worked it out that if I finished 3rd then if Stockton won we would tie - but we had 4 players there so would get it (I think) - so 2nd worked out prefectly - come on Edinburgh!!!!!! ;D
