Club Captain

Birmingham Poker Club will be captained by Anthony Williams.

Anthony is a fervent supporter of APAT and has promised to don his recruiting hat for the Birmingham cause.

Welcome aboard Anthony, I"m sure you"ll build one of the strongest teams in the Central division.

See you a week on Friday mate.

no allegiance issue here - just didnt think of it when I picked my nearest club. Both Walsall and Bham are about the same distance away..... Ian - are pre-season transfers allowed? Not a problem if not.
Title: Re: Birmingham Poker Club - General Discussion
Post by: BOINGBLITZ on December 31, 2008, 02:03:56 AM
Ian....we wish to sign Steve for Walsall in the January transfer window please....we have him on a "Bosman" and he was gonna sign a pre-contract agreement with us when his pen ran out !!
Title: Re: Birmingham Poker Club - General Discussion
Post by: HaworthBantam on January 01, 2009, 11:34:37 AM

No transfers allowed I"m afraid, unless geographical locations are in question. And as Steve has said that he"s pretty much equidistant from the two clubs, his original signing must stand.

Adds to the banter between the two clubs though.......  :D

All games this season, Matt, are on line. This may become a live event in season 4, but we will have a lot of thinking to do before any decision is made.

For the moment, you"re in a very strong online club.

No problem Matt, I"m going to have to delete some of the postings anyway.

We, the mods, have had a discussion and decided that a lot of the postings should be in the "General Discussion" thread, not only here, but in other Clubs "Member Sign Up" threads as well. They"re slightly getting in the way of our record keeping. I"ve realised that we can"t move individual postings, only full threads, so the only option is to delete postings - apologies.

So, don"t be surprised if these disappear shortly  8)

Take care mate.

Daft couple of questions coming but bear with me.

1. Are you logged in?

2. Do you have $11 in your account?

If answer to both is yes, I guess you will need to contact the BSQ helpline....

Was suitably chuffed last night - my first APAT win.  The atmosphere at the final table was awesome - I was on the right end of the some awful beats, but never was a bad word said. Was also great to have so many railers :)

Just a reminder guys that week 10 is tonight, can all players
check the players list (maybe print it off?) and be familiar with
your TEAM members.

Remember,we need at least 2 players to f/t to realisticaly stand
a chance of gaining points for the TEAM

I invisage there will be plenty of oppurtunity to gain individual points
between weeks 16-20 to try and gain a place in the final, but the team
must qualify first!

Good luck to all B/ham club members tonight.

ffs!!   KQ on KJ9 flop. bet pot - 2 callers. turn 7. bet 2/3 pot - 2 callers. river 7 - bet and call all in raise (only few chips more) - lose to 87!!!!!!

Frustrating night for me,b/square connection probs.Never had any trouble
before so a bit strange.Annoying when u hit nut flush and someone bets
into you on river......only to get timed out...grrrr.

No complaints about exit hand tho when for 10 secs actually get connected,
I raise with AK and bb flats, flop 10,10,5, BB shoves for 3.5k.....Nuts or air?
Obviously its air so i call......wrong!
