Club Captain

Walsall Poker Club will be captained by Brian Yates.

His organisational experience, including secretary of the recently formed Black Country Poker Club, should stand him in good stead for the upcoming challenges as captain of Walsall Poker Club.

Many thanks,

Ian

I"ve swapped two players where geographical locations were in question. As Steve has said that he"s pretty much equidistant from the two clubs, his original signing must stand.

Leeds Wolf aka Chris Deeley

There"s something about your APAT id (Leeds Wolf) that"s kind of giving me the impression that you"re not from the Walsall/Birmingham area, Chris......  :D

Before I sign you up could you confirm your location.

Is your Blue Square id the same as your APAT id ?

Thanks.

Not made it to Walsall.....my local......but have made it to VEGAS tonight !!
First place in $550 satellite on Ladbrokes that took over 6 hours for the 46 entrants to complete, finishing at 2.45am........but BOY, WAS IT WORTH IT !!
7 days in Vegas with a chance to make it 14 and it only cost me $66 to win the $5000 package.
Now, if only I can win the Black Country Poker Club season one.........

OK - the National League is almost upon us.  Round 1 is this Sunday, 8pm.

You can register on BlueSQ now, and you"ll need the following password:

leaguepl

(This will be the password for the rest of the season).

screenshot courtesy of kinboshi

Feel free to forward the password, but remember players must be signed up to a club before they play.  Club registration remains open for the whole of the season.

IF A NEW PLAYER HAS NOT REGISTERED FOR A CLUB ON THE FORUM, BY 8PM ON A MATCH DAY, THEY WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO EARN POINTS FOR THEIR CLUB IN THAT WEEK. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

Across 2009 the League would be online, but we hope to take it live in 2010.  That said, players can organise to meet locally for home games, etc, at any point through the forum.

wardy, the Birmingham club is a better place to be, and if you want any chance of being part of the winning team, you should probably avoid the Walsall team.

hmmmm just take a look at the league table just listed by Ian.....  http://www.apat.com/forum/index.php?topic=2711.0;topicseen#msg45531

You"ll notice that Birmingham are top and Walsall are bottom - need I say more??

OK so alphabetics play a part at this juncture, but it just goes goes to show that playing for a team that begins with W is a bad move.
Title: Re: Walsall Poker Club - General Discussion
Post by: clynd99 on January 31, 2009, 18:16:40 PM
Please, if we always went alphabetically, then West Bromwich Albion would always be rooted to the bottom of the league.

sunday.....thats a bad time, because the super bowl is on and full tilt are offering tripple frequant player points during the event......

and also "lost" episode 3 season 5 of course......now i was gonna play on full tilt cash games, and tape lost, but now there is this into the equation also.....lol

i need to get a life i think.

Title: Re: Walsall Poker Club - General Discussion
Post by: BOINGBLITZ on February 01, 2009, 13:04:16 PM
Tape Lost, play full-tilt at the same time.....and if you are still in when the Super Bowl kicks off, then we will ALL be happy.
Can"t be as good as last years SB though......for a Giants fan since 1985, being in an Irish bar just off Times Square to see my boys beat the unbeaten Patriots as massive underdogs was something SPECIAL !!

Lost has to come first I"m afraid, sitting and relaxing with the missus and our fave tv show is always number one.
17 episodes in the new seris, episode 3 tonight, APAT tourneys every other week.
I figure I"ll miss the first 7 or 8 APAT games.

a GREAT performance by everyone on Sunday night. Special mention to debutants Will Young and Susan Tarpy along with veterans Marcel Furet and Tony Trippier. I have said all along that our club will come good over the 20 weeks and I firmly believe that we will be there in the top 3 at the end of the 20 weeks and ready to win it all !
Anothe great showing for the BCPC too with THREE members on the FT once again.

Another point on the board for Walsall....even if I did manage to knock out Tony Trippier on the FT (My raise with Q-Q, Tony re-pops all-in with A-K.....what can you do ??!!)
Also, FOUR BCPC mmembers on the FT this week.....well done to Matt and new boy Tod Wood from Brum also.
We are now tied with Liverpool in 4th place on 6 points with Manchester on 7 in 3rd.....that gap gets ever-closer guys !!

jacks vs aces on a 9 high flop...got it all in because i only had about 1900 chips left on the 4th level i think.
when is my luck gonna change. i have been running very bad online bluesquare, FT and stars, and evan running bad live. but im still having fun so its ok. good luck everyone else.

Will.....stick with it mate......you are a quality player.
Luck will change, you will see.
Congrats to Marcel (who now leads the Central Division rankings) for his 2nd place finish and also to Paul Halling who finished 6th. These 2 guys got us a FIRST PLACE on Sunday to move us into the top 3 and just TWO POINTS behind the leaders.
Continuous Improvement guys n gals......great showing !!

Sorry Brian, jimmy6914 definitely went out in 8th. Janc59 (Charlie Curtis for Sheffield) went out in 10th.

Still, 2 points are 2 points, and puts Walsall well placed in the league - this is going to be a really exciting season for Central Division, and a very close result come the end, I suspect.
