Three ways to enter:
... and the demand vastly outstrips supply - the seats are usually sold out after 3 seconds.

Hence the term "clickfest".

FYP :)

ok lets say I win the clickfest, this would be my first 10,000 chip tournament and Im wondering how many players make it to day 2. the fact that the blinds are 45 mins long is it possible to just sit back, not play a hand and make it thru to the next day,(not that i could ever do that as im so impatient).

Also whats the normal average stack at the end of the day? i.e what do I realistically need to make it thru to day 2???

Usually plays down to about 20 players.

No.

With approx 20 players making day 2, the ave stack will be (200 x 10,000)/20

On saying that, you can make it to day 2 with any number of chips.

If you sat back and didn"t play a hand - you"d probably finish in the top 80 in a 200-runner APAT tournament (that"s a guess).

As Ian said, the plan is usually to play down to 20 players (give or take).  So the average would be 100K (if there are 200 runners).

Did Caz tell you that?

Funny man, Daniel. Actually, I remember the range of chips Caz has had each of the 4 times she"s made day two - her lowest was 24,000 and her highest 92,000.

I knocked a no-show out last year in Walsall, at about 8:00pm - we even give him/her a round of applause. Or was the round of applause for me actually knocking a player out.......? Can"t remember  :D

No problems.  As long as you stick to casino dress code, then headphones/caps/shades all fine.

All APAT nationals are black tie events this season so a cap may look daft.

Just don"t have your music on too loud so you can"t hear the dealer or other announcements at the table.

It is bad etiquette to not be able to hear what"s going on so that it slows the game down if you have to ask "what is the bet", "is that a raise", etc.  In fact, a lot of people make mistakes (sometimes costly ones) because of this.

If I listen to music when I"m playing, I tend to just put one ear-piece in, and even then I don"t have the music on too loud.  You can miss out on a lot of information.

... this might all be obvious but it would be great if someone could answer the following.

Walsall will be my APAT debut ...

In terms of the $150 package what does that actually include?

Do I just need to turn up at the casino - or take some proof of winning it?

In terms of the tournament itself am I correct in saying it is likely to run to 5 a.m. in you are still alive?

Day 2 maybe 20 people left - how long does that usually last?

Is there some other tournament running on Sunday at the Walsall casino - for those who don"t make the second day?

In terms of the casino - what is the dress code - can you just ship up on the day with a driving licence for ID?

Any answers would be great!

Cheers

Louis

Well done on getting in

$150 will have £75 taken off, the rest will go into your BSQ account.

Just turn up on the day, you are now automatically registered for this tourney and in the system!!

Day 1 finishes about 1am (plays down to the money or the 3000/ 6000 level - whatever comes first)
Day 2 finishes between 9 and 11 (at the very latest)

Des puts out a tourney briefing a week beforehand with dress code / ID stuuf on but IIRC Walsall grosvenor has a pretty slack dress code (as long as you dont look or more importantly smell like a tramp). Photo driving liscence is fine for regging at the casino.

Hi
With regards registering for Walsall:

I assume you can only buy in for yourself?  I OK but my mate internet on blink (but is APAT registered).  Can I buy two seats or does he have to find PC to use and register himself?

Also can you register with another persons debit card?  (He also has no debit card!!!)

Cheers

You can register another person, you put in the player name separately to the payment part so it doesn"t matter if they match - but you can only register one person at a time.

does the balance of the $150 go in your account instantly as i won a seat last night and nothing has gone in yet.i would also like to ask the same question that was asked earlier,do blue square pass on your info so they know who i am when turning up at walsall.

Ok my computer has been playin up all day and this is the first time ive been able to get online. If it does crash during the clickfest, or i dont succeed in getting a ticket....what are the chances of getting in on the day???

I know they have a reserve list, but does anyone ever get in on it? if so how long do you think I would have to turn up before the event to guarantee being near the front of the list???

I was the only alternate last year, some got in through no shows..I think about 8 people.  I showed up at about midday and there was a queue of people in tents cooking sausages.

Des has the BlueSQ Id of all members who have played on the site so dont panic.

You will get the remainder of the $150 (after your £75 in dollars is taken out) in a few days or so.
