Title: Walsall Accommodation
Post by: coprey on January 13, 2009, 00:14:23 AM
Hi

I have secured a seat for the APAT National Championship in Walsall and have booked a twin room in the Premier Inn for Sat 6 and Sun 7 Feb, total cost £98. If anyone wants to share, the cost to you would be £49. This does not include breakfast. Please let me know if you are interested.

I didn"t want the room, just wondered why you booked a twin room.

My previous comment was directed towards anyone who might have been interested in sharing the room, and not to your original question.

I am happy to indulge your curiousity. I booked a twin room as it was the same price as a single and I felt like this was better value for money. I also thought that I might find someone to share the room in order to save money. ;D

If you have any further queries please forward them to my secretary. ::)

Don" forget to check out the prices on Late Rooms via our affiliate link in the banner above.  Prices are generally good and APAT will earn a small commission.

Somewhere else: £58 wouldn"t read too much into the Laterooms price

I wouldn"t expect anyone to go with anything other than the best price available, however there is nothing wrong with using it as a search option.

Laterooms price: £44.95 is the same price as the Holiday Inn Express £44.95.  Both are the flexible rate with c/c taken as a guarantee but not charged.

£36 is for advance purchase.

So that would be 0% discount then? I wonder where the room with the 70% discount is... as advertised on their banner?

I know the £36 is advance purchase, I actually pointed that out on another thread... but I assume most folks are looking for the cheapest rate (for the same room anyway).

Then surely a double, rather than a twin, would be more appropriate?

The Village Hotel is near the Holiday Inn express and if you check the "special offers" section you can get a price of £49 per night (£98 for two nights) with full English Breakfast.

Do check the special offer section otherwise they quoted £118 for the two nights.

Arrrggghhh, I thought the £118 was per room per night, and decided upon the Holiday Inn Express because of this. I was looking forward to a pre-tourney swim in the morning too ... ah well, all booked now!
