If it were the same format as last season, and I stress IF, then it would be 20 teams of 10 players. All 200 played a multi table tournament, with the top 50 earning points towards the team event. The prizepool was split with some going to the top three teams and some going to the final table of individuals ( I think, but can"t remember for certain on that point)
Have I said IF enough times ?
Hope that helps,
Leigh

I"m going to have learn to type faster, Leigh :D
Just to add to what Leigh has said....
Final details and arrangements will be published in the 2 or 3 months running up to the event.

Here is the key discussion thread for last year"s UK Team Championship Mike, which gives the tournament details.

The format will be the same, the only question being whether the capacity will be for 16 Teams or for 20 Teams. That will be finalised in the second half of the season.

;D thank you"s all so much!!!! great help!!!!!!

IF that is the case then Leigh may play and may defeat the mighty hand of 7 2 offsuit! ;)

No soft play in the APAT team. ;D
I wasn"t going to mention the ac :as: v ah ad v kc kd hand Tim, thought it might bring back bad memories.

PLEASE dont make it less than 20 teams.......surely it isn"t rocket-science to see how APAT is taking off in 2009 ??

We will be doing everything in our power to ensure the capacity is as large as possible. 200 runners is a bread and butter event for APAT, but there is always a dependancy on the venue being able to budget / resource for our requirements. This event is several months off, so we"ll pick up at a later time.

Is there any qualification requirements to enter a team into this event, as we run a poker forum in Norfolk and have a lot of members who have expressed an interest in taking part?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Andy,
Nearer the time, details will be announced about how you can register your interest in a team. Last season the teams were based around forums, so watch this space.

Andy does "And have a number of members who have expressed an interest in taking part" translate as "There is a serial poster on this forum who greets me with "Are you entering a Norfolk-based team in the APAT forum event?" every damned time I bump into him. Please supply me with further information so I get him off my case"

Ant, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I suspect that the winking smiley at the end of Andy"s message indicates that he may have been jesting. ;)
-
i thought so as im probably the last one to pick to represent norfolk. still its nice to be mentioned anyway, even in laughter. i will rise to the occassion if im needed. if there is a norfolk team i will be cheering them on anyway. if you need a teammate i may know a very good player who i play every weekend.
-
Ant, if we are able to enter a team, you would be more than welcome to join us. :)

And I may even be able to persuade some relatives with APAT connections to come along for the ride as well.
