Title: anyone interested in golf

THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE AN IDEA TO SET UP A GOLFING DAY ( SOCIETY ) . IF INTERSTED POST UR THOUGHTS IM NOT TO GOOD MYSELF 18H/CAP NOT PLAYED FOR 2YRS OR SO BUT CUD BE FUN. MAYBE A LITTLE POKER COMP AFTER . I LIVE BIRMINGHAM/HARBORNE AREA , COULD MEET UP EVERY 2 MONTHS OR SO . WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS   CHEERS  TONY T

Maybe a more workable option, given the distances that people have to travel, would be to arrange a game for the Sat or Sun morning of APAT live champs (even if it was a 9-hole comp to get people interested).

BTW, as a beginner who is still happy to break 100... I think 18 hcap is pretty good!!!

I haven't played for over two years but I would be up for a game if the timing can coincide with an APAT weekend. If we are talking about hcap, I don't have won so it's 28. I would be happy to break 120 or my clubs.

If we"re gonna have any chance of attracting any decent players to an APAT golf outing, we need to stop posting things like "haven"t played for 2 years", "happy to break 100/120" and "break my clubs".

To a low handicapper, it doesn"t sound like a prop-bet friendly outing. And that would be half the fun.
