So who"s all playing what today/tonight...
I"m just sitting in with a mate to watch the Scottish League Cup Final but going to start at around 4pm just as the second half is kicking off because there"s a couple games on "Stars I fancy then, and I want an early-ish finish tonight as got to be up early tomorrow! So here"s my Sunday Schedule so far:
16:00 - $22 NLHE ($32k Guaranteed)
16:00 - $11 NLHE (Deep Stacks)
16:30 - $16.50 PL Omaha ($2k Guaranteed)
18:00 - $11 NLHE ($30k Guarenteed - Daily Thirty Grand)
20:00 - $11 Northern National League game on BlueSq
What"s everybody else playing?
-
you do realise a top 3 run in deepstack will take 14 hours?
-
Deepstacks and available for staking if needed.

I"ve not even thought of that, is it usually 14hrs for this deepstack game? Depends how many runners it gets I suppose? There"s only 125 runners just now. See it getting around 500 runners...

Try 1000 approx. Normally its 1500+ but numbers have been down cos start time is 1hr earlier.
I"m also playing the $5 - 15k gtd, Daily Thirty Grand and the 200k gtd, lets gogogogogo (at 4pm lol!)
-
Will play the $6k GTD Freezeout on BlueSq at 20:10 whilst I rail the League Game.
Will also consider the £11 £750 Bounty Hunter on Sky (19:45) or the £5 £200 Bounty Hunter (20:10).

... Just qualified for the I-Poker $250k g"tee.
Looks like being about 800 runners @ $300 + 20.
I paid $154 to get there.
Came 12th of 32 for 6 places ... and then top 8 from 52 ...
Some luck appreciated/craved/ah the gods haved turned ...
I pushed with A9 called with BB"s QQ ... and spiked.
Last two people burst a bubble double when running in the chip leaders AA ... tough with JJ and 99 ...
Looks like 7 hours to final table ... 7pm start ...
I will try not to be dead by the 8pm League start!
Good luck all.

Tell me about it. Stars is violating me every 5 minutes so far tonight - praying for better luck in the last 2! Bloody set over set...

I"m upto 9k in $22 ($32k Guaranteed) - more small pots...
I"m running good on "Stars... upto 19k.
Was on 9k and there was 2.5k in pot, big stack has been bullying and bets 2k - the board is low cards that didn"t add up with his pre-flop raise so I think he is bluffing and he"ll fold to all in leaving me to take 4.5k - I push all in with two overcards and gutshot straight draw... He insta calls with flush draw, I hit one of my overcards on turn and river blanks out...
-
Just into the money in the $22 ($32k Guaranteed)...
Blinds at 100/500/1000 and sitting on 38k.
Still going in Deepstack, was up at 9k but lost big pot about half an hour ago and down to about 6k, still lots of play left though obv.
*Edit - just more than doubled up to 13k*
Decided not to play Daily Thirty Grand so could concentrate on these other two plus the league game once it starts...
-
4pm - DeepStack - OUT (JJ vs 1010)
5pm - $5.50 15kgtd - Down to 2k after AK <<<< A7 shorty all in = OUT (SET OVER SET)
6pm - Daily Thirty Grand - 5.5k at break. OUT - A8 v 77.
8.30pm - Two Hundred Grand
-
$22 ($32k Guaranteed)...
Just crashed out in 104th out of 2268 runners for $63.51 :(
Was down to 25k with blinds at 1250/2500 and pushed from the cut off with A9, small blind called with A10 and it held...
Currently 32nd in chips out of 332 players in the $11 deepstack.
Oh and still in the league game...

Arrrrrggggggghhhhhh!!!!!!
Just missed out on chance to treble up and be chipleader...
UTG raises x4BB guy right before me pushes over the top all in for just over half my stack - I have pocket 10s but initial raiser is tight and has me covered so I decide after a min to fold my tens - original raiser turns over QQ, guy who pushed all in AJ ...
Board = 8 K J Q 9
Correct fold I guess but it woulda been good to suckout for the chiplead :(
-
27 players left...
-
GL Chris.
I predict a 7am finish for this
-

I predict a 7am finish for this
lol, this is the loooooooooooooongest online game i"ve EVER played.
My head hurts... lol.
Will post if I final table it...
-
SOOOOO card dead - I know people are making moves but literally can"t play back at them...
20 players left and I"m shortstack.
-
OUT - in 17th place = $66.41 .... for 10hrs 54mins ::)
Had around 20bbs, guy to my right raises x4BB (he has 1k more than me) so I push all-in over the top with AK. Player on button next to me re-raises my all-in x3 :( ... Initial raiser CALLS!?!?! 3 way all-in... I can"t be in great shape?
Initial raiser has JQ suited?!?
Button re-raiser has Pocket Jacks and the board blanks out.
:(
Total outlay for today = $60.50
Total winnings = $129.92

Yeah i"ll not be in a rush to play that deepstack again - maybe if there"s a smaller field deepstack or a $100 one some time I might give it a bash, not any time soon though, lol. I loved the game as it gave SO much play and allowed for lots of post flop play etc but also allowed you to sit tight during card dead periods too - you got to know players games too through sitting with them so long. Ah well, next time...

Monday - Friday, 12.15pm (1.15pm when clocks go forward), $22 NLHE Deepstack, same structure and generally gets between 150-250 runners.
They have a $100 + $9 one on a Saturday night, but it starts at 10.15pm (11.15pm when clocks go forward), so ultimately isn"t great unless you can stay up all night.

:D
Welcome to the world of the Pokerstars Deepstack.
The $100 one is a good one to play if you really must have an hourly rate higher than $1 ph
But you might want to have a bit of an afternoon nap if you do.

u deepstackers are sick. I really can"t concentrate for that long. God knows how Laxie shipped one!!!

I don"t know, I think it"s all a matter of the style I play... I like to play quite crazy and loose at times and like to have chips to experiment with and put pressure on people with but I also need time to recover from potential losses when moves go wrong etc. Plus I think people are more willing to let you run over them and try trap you with a monster later on due to stacks and structure.
With the usual structures I feel myself making correct moves (imo) and plays but just running into big hands in the blinds (AA-1010), getting dented and unable to recover a lot of times when the blinds are going up so fast...
Also during times of complete card deadness (not even suited connectors or anything) you"re not forced to and can choose not to make moves to stay in the game - you can sit back for a little bit and wait.
I don"t know the slower structure suits my game more but IS mind numbingly boring too...

If you"re multi-tabling this is less of an issue.
If not, I got a tip yesterday from a cash video but could come in handy - have your hand replayer open and watch big hands to see how opponents play, does this guy stack off light OOP for example. Also, maybe have some light music on in the background to keep you going. I know the week Laxie won it, there were a few of us on MSN from the start as well, if you get a group of you who are playing it then you could discuss hands etc. I personally have my table, my gf"s table, and Jon MW"s table up to keep an eye on how all 3 of us are going.
And, naturally, there"s here as well!

I haven"t actually tried it yet, but one idea might be to have a Double or Nothing sit and go to play (or more likely a series of them)
The logic being that they don"t actually require much thought to play them so they won"t distract you from the deepstack too much.
However I"m willing to concede that playing two boring games might not cancel each other out, they might just make it twice as dull :D
