Title: WCOAP Satellite Qualifier Starting Days

If you have qualified for the APAT WCOAP World Amateur Championship main event, please input your Blue Square player id in this thread and your preferred starting day as Friday or Saturday. 

As an early qualifier you will be guaranteed your choice of starting days, providing your enter your information prior to the direct buy in on Thursday evening at 9pm.

Is there a list of those who have qualified thorugh the Sats?  I"m sure I made it but it was late and I fell asleep for the last 10 mins!!  As posted above, assuming I am in, Fri is my preferred day 1.

Friday"s gonna be a quiet day  :D

I plan to make a long weekend of this trip even though I"m only gonna olay the Main Event.  I"ll take Friday and fill the rest of my trip with Cash Games / DTD Tourneys on the Saturday (hopefully still in APAT on Sunday).

I"m assuming you"ve all seen this sentence on the Home Page - www.apat.com

"1) In the first stage of the payment process, you will be asked to enter the player name and preferred start day (Friday or Saturday). Anyone not entering a preferred start day could be be allocated either day. Please enter your details as per this example: John Smith / Friday"

Yes, I need blue square ids in this instance to cross reference with the list of qualifiers and full names that they will provide.  Oh for a simple life  ;D

IMHO,
as there was always going to be a bigger field for this, there could be more Satellites than in a normal tournament.  Maybe it is still an option to have one or two more sats if all the seats have not gone yet and there is still loads of time left?

Win win for everybody..

Not sure either, but I"m guessing that, rather than running any more Satellites to this (somewhat pointless if you"re already one of the ones who paid their £100 last night), the remaining seats will now only be sold via the BuyIn link which has been left on the home page.

Running more Sats now will no doubt attract some of those who have already paid for their seat, making it an Admin nightmare in terms of whose transactions would then get processed. It would mean tying up all BlueSq names to payment transactions etc.

On the one hand people are saying the expenses should be cut because people only care about the seat.

And on the other, that there should be more satellites for people who can"t afford a £100 buy in.

Obviously there is a disparity with the cost of both - but the 2 aren"t entirely consistent.

I might be getting confused here, but, isnt the friday for Omaha, and Sat, Sun Mon for the main event..?  ie...  Friday is not available as a starting day for main event.?  And main event is what we are talking about here?

Thursday is Omaha

Friday and Saturday are Main Event Day 1a and Day 1b

Sunday is Main Event Day 2 and HORSE day.

Ok, my stupid fault for not checking what days the dates are on.  I think I was assuming, because that weekend is a bank holiday weekend and the Monday is a bank holiday, that the tournament was utilising the monday as the final day..

That was the initial plan Carl, but DTD notified us pretty late in the day, that they don"t open on Bank Holiday Monday"s.  That"s one of the reasons that we are running the Horse alongside the final day of the main event.  Starting on Wednesday would have been a step too far I think.
