I was wondering what stakes other APAT players play at.
Ill start of proceedings:
NLH (80%)
0.50/1 - 30%
1/2 - 60%
2/5 - 10%
PLO (20%)
1/2
I play approx 80% cash 20% tournies -mainly heads up £5/£10 sng and mtt £25.
Bit nosey I guess but an interesting one, or maybe not, well see how many replies this gets (or doesnt).
-
5% cash ($0.50 / $1)
15% tournament (any think up to $20)
80% S & G ($10 / $20)
If I am having a good run in the sit & go I may play moor tournaments with the profit
Not big stakes but i play for the love of the game, but some times I have to question that
-
90% cash (25c/50c - $1/$2)
5% MTTs ($5-$100)
5% MTT Satellites ($5-$100)
Don"t do SNGs, except for fun with people I know.
I also play £75 buy-in live MTTs ;)
-
Clearly I havent quite grasped this popular thread thingy, 55 views and only 2 replies.
Maybe ill have to incorprate a little nudity (preferably not me) or something in the next one for it to take off.

Ok then, I read it 3 times as well
97.5% full table STT ($10 or $20)
2.5% MTT ($20 - $50)
too much of an ATM to play cash!
-
70% tourney NL
S & G minimum $33.
Ocassional heads up $22 to $55.
30% cash NL
0.5c/$1
-
90% sng $3-$10
6% mtt up to $20
4% cash $0.10/20-$0.50/1
hate cash as seem to find the chasers all the time. so prefer sng full table,8 or 10 dependant on which site i`m on. ::)
-
42% sng $1 - $10
56% mtt Nearly all of them <=$10, but with a sporadic foray into the more expensive (when the sng"s have been particularly profitable - or I"ve won a freeroll satellite for example)
2% cash <= $1 - $2 not very good at cash - must try harder to avoid it.
70% NLHE
20% HORSE
5% other limit games
5% other stuff - like 2-7 triple draw (I like, it"s just not very widespread), and PLO (I don"t like - it"s just TOO hard)
That isn"t a very scientific way of breaking down what I play because it"s essentially just my general impression.
In theory I could interrogate my database of results (every single game and session I"ve played). But in practice - I can"t be bothered. :)
-
Recently I"ve been playing a lot of mistakes.
-
50% SNG
25% Cash
25% MTT
Range depends on the mood -
Cash $1/$2
SNG $20-$50
MTT $10-$50
Cash was a lower % and is now actually increasing, beginning to get a better return from it.
-
was 50 per cent tourney 40 per cent 10 per cent NLH Cash till i actually subscribed to thepokerdb and found i was actually loosing in MTT.
Plenty of cashes (20 per cent) but not getting deep enough.
Have also taking a step back to move forward in regard to cash.
Now playing 50c - 1 and 1-2 LIMIT. boring graft but profitable.
Playing more MTT satelittes with 10 per cent payount followed by unregistering and taking tourney dollars. This seems to be more profitable for me.
Playing more Omaha and Horse MTTs, recently took down by first Horse on Stars which was nice.
-
90% Cash - 0.50/1 and the odd dabble at 1/2 when the roll pushes $4K (however i tend to withdraw after then)
9% MTT"s $10 - $100. However most of my MTTs are live.
1% SnG as i hate them with a passion but will only play with people that i know or to play silly buggers with the fools who grind them out lol
-
Online:
90% Cash $0.50/$1 or $1/$2
10% MTT
Live
90% MTT Max £75 buyin
10% STT
0% Cash. Cant find a decent game anywhere. Local casino is 6 card Omaha :o :o
-
82% MTT
5% Cash
10% SNG
3 % Heads Up SNG"s
Seems my game structure is a little back to front compared to others!! lol
I think its rather apparent that I prefer MTT"s - as I see this is where I can get best practice for live tourneys.

A slight twist if I may to this subject.....I have no particular record of my playing stats, per say...What is the best way to gather these vital stats. You all seem very precise (82% etc,) so I presume there is software out there to get my hands on.
-
You can use PokerTracker or Poker Office. Well worth getting.
Also, a lot of people (including me) keep a poker diary of all their sessions (a spreadsheet or one of the many online ones that are available). Means you know exactly what you"re doing - if you"re winning or losing, and which games are most profitable for you, etc.

There is software out there like Dan says, but I have a very detailed Excel spreadsheet that I use. My wife"s jaw dropped when she saw my record keeping - not surprising conidering I don"t usually open my bank statements for several months!!!!
-
Since I have been going through this bad run I have stopped recording my results as I thought it was distracting me from my game.
-
I keep another record of events and it breaks down as:
43% bottled alcohol (either beer or wine)
23% draught
18% top shelf (ie Rum,whiskey etc)
16% Black hole (can"t recall)
so my point is I must get out more or drink less (no contest)

Have you got special software to record that info? :)
Personally I think you"re stats for the top shelf spirits are lagging behind a bit - you should do something about that. :)
-
I cant afford the dear ones however if you are offering to improve my stats you are more than welcome
-
It probably wouldn"t work anyway.
You"d only end up improving the Black Hole stats instead.
:D
-
Thanks, I will look at them. I have a excel spreadsheet going, but wanted to see what else I can get.

I"m thinking of getting some kind of poker tracker. What would you recommend?
I want it to work with BlueSquare now that I"m going to be playing there.
-
PokerTracker works fine with iPoker software (for cash games anyway - not sure about tournaments...)
