Title: 9 man self delat live sng (9 players remaining)
Post by: TopPair2Pair on April 07, 2009, 01:32:29 AM
We have about 8K, blinds are 300/600.

Table has 2 lags, 2 passive players, 2 with a variety of gears, a solid tag to our right, remainder isn"t capable of doing any damage to us.

Our image is strong, not so much table captain but when we raise we appear to be getting alot of rspect/OR when we are getting dealt raising hands everyone else is getting garbage. Three EP raises on the trot all stole blinds, with the assistance of a small cbet on third occasion. We slowed down until this hand again in early position the next orbit... thoughts are appreciated.

We are holding  ac 8c. We limp to see a flop and are happy to see everyone has perked up that we didn"t raise subsequently 6 players in pot.

Flop comes....

9c 9d 6c

SB out , BB checks... we r UTG with 3 players left to act; what are we thinking, lob caution to wind and get busy or check like a pansy?

It"s early doors (I think - 9 players remain but blinds are 300/600??) and a pretty "safe" flop normally but there"s 3,600 in the middle and 6 players in. With an M of 8, I"d view this is a good opportunity for you to add almost 50% to your stack.

Risking it with a 2,600 bet should either take the 3,600 pot if no one has a 9 / a straight draw / lower flush draw. This bet will look like you"re protecting your 9 against a flush draw / flush draw against a 9 so few players should want to stay involved.

If someone comes over the top on the flop, I"m shipping it in.

If someone calls, and a 5, T or any club comes on the turn, I push. The only cards I dread here are another 9 or 6 which I will prob check > fold to. If the turn is a blank, I check to reassess after any bet on the turn.

M is still slightly around 5 (not good) but it"s a 9 handed game. I still have plenty time to find a premium hand to shove with.

firstly, limping in with a rag ace out of position with such a low M. Why?

as played... check-raise (or call) all in.

I have no idea, it wasnt me. I was sitting on the button with trips and milked him rotten.... or so i say  ;)

I guess he felt he was bossing table, limping with an ace was disguised well especially given the respect he seemed to be getting with all the walks...

it was indeed a very perculiar table to be playing on
