Day two of the APAT at the races weekend (Okay four of us showed, but it"s been a good laugh) and we have some poker news.
Tonights £50 freezout tournament with 113 runners sees Neil "lukybugur" Dawson down to the last 18 players.
Neil is currently chipleader with 60k of the 452k chips in play.
Structure pays top 11. 1st prize is just shy of £2k.
One Time. ;D
-
To give you an idea of how he"s running.
Neil was involved in a three way all-in (he had both players covered)
Neil = jc jd
Player A = ac ad1
Player B = ah js
The flop brings the jh and he takes it down.
mbsfn ;D
-
Down to 14 and he is still stacked up. I reckon he has about 75/80k
-
GL Neil
-
It"s bubble time, down to 12
-
Hope Neil takes it down.
-
Wiiiiiiii
-
Finally the bubble bursts and the lukybugur is in the cash. Action should pick up from here
-
he is now officially my hero
-
He"s made the final table with roughly average stack
-
Neil is my hero
-
And he"s just run over to tell me he"s doubled up.
-
Neils on the rampage, knocking 2 out in the space of ten minutes. Down to 6 players left.

Hi Neil!

Thanks very much to you All. That"s me just got back home.
It was a most enjoyable weekend, and a great experience for me who rarely plays live poker. It was made better by the fact that all four of us were UP several hundred £s for the weekend. The best part though was being able to give the 10% shares to the others and the remaining £1,000 packet to my long-suffering wife Julia just 10 mins ago. I"m not daft ... ;) Poker in Glasgow on 23rd has now been given the green light ... weeeeeeee
-
And I managed to get a shot of him cashing. It"s not as impressive as it looks, because only half of it is his and then there"s Mine, Dan and Rob"s 10%"s. But not a bad payday anyhow. ;D

Nice one Neil 8)

Great result Neil, well done :)
-
Not quite sure which is best, Neil"s poker playing skills or Leigh's photoshoping.
OK, got it - Neil wins. he also knew the other guy had AJ and still made the call!!
-
As Leigh will tell you, I took a good couple of minutes to run through the possible scenarios ... given that MP had gone All-In, I didn"t put him on AA as I thought he would have wanted to keep it affordable for the 4 players still to act behind. I called trusting a "feeling" that they just both had AK. And at that time, I was calling 11k (1/5 of my stack) to win about 29k and knock 2 players out.
-
Nice result Neil.

Excellent result Neil... ;D
I was sorry to have to miss out on the weekend so let me know when you are going back to try for the double ;)

I"m open to suggestions ... as always. It would be good to have them on Race Days too if we get enough interest in both.

Great effort chief ... I cannot decide whether sleep is a worth option ... coin flip.
