Hi there, what are the starting blinds? George Bedi for the win is my updated prediction seeing as my 3 first choice runners didn"t make day 2.
But GL to all have a great day.

All my 3 picks are still in

Phil Starrs
Gordon McArthur
Mary Martin

However, now I have to pick a medal winner so I"ll got for Mary to win the mod of the year medal and Phil to win at least a bronze in todays event.

GL to all left in - and VGL to all Scots!

reminder posted by Des last night

Unfortunately with the earlier thread deletion we"ve lost all of the posts relating to the "name two of the finalists" competition.  We"ll open this again tomorrow with a "name one of the medalists from the remaining players at the end of day one".  You can post your entry on the day two live update thread (moderator intervention permitting  Grin)  The winner will get an option to buy into the English Amateur Championship in Bolton in October, without going through the clickfest.

Tighty - has this turned into a real crap shoot?

Seems as if some of these calling hands for the all in"s are, well, more than marginal to say the least.

Is everyone having an average of around 8 BB"s????

p.s. Incase you didnt know Westwood clear by 2 and Goose in 3rd at moment ;)

the structure is fine but 30% of the chips were in one stack. Leaves a lot of the others quite short, and play on the bubble is short handed so the blinds eat you up unless you push once a round

This is a very special final table. A railbird informs me that seats 3,5 and 6 are wearing white socks

Standards are slipping, unless its a Michael Jackson tribute of course. I personally would never wear white socks, the prospect that I may subsequently be persuaded to do exercise makes me quite fearful. I will stick with Marks and Spencer black socks please.

This is a very special final table. t pot  on forgeA railbird informs me that seats 3,5 and 6 are wearing white socks

Standards are slipping, unless its a Michael Jackson tribute of course. I personally would never wear white socks, the prospect that I may subsequently be persuaded to do exercise makes me quite fearful. I will stick with Marks and Spencer black socks please.
Mrs p ,noticed this.(as women do)So from now o on.n forget pot odds etc.Just ordered 20 pairs of white socks ,will final table from now

flop 3 5 5 Niven doubles up

This sounds worse than it was. Mr Niven was all in for 5k on my BB of 8k so I had 3k returned and a free hand.

A fantastic couple of days as is the norm for Apat weekends.

Thanks to all wellwishers. Unfortunately I was absolutely card dead once we hit the FT. Derek played brilliantly and a much deserved win.

As always a big thanks to Des and Duffy jnr, Tighty and Leigh (10-6 indeed pfft) hindered assisted by Kinboshi.

Off to replace the famous pink jumper after it was the victim of the now infamous Gala pies.

Many thanks again to all and look forward to meeting up again soonest.

As always a big thanks to Des and Duffy jnr, Tighty and Leigh (10-6 indeed pfft) hindered assisted by Kinboshi.

I would just like to point out, this was in a Tighty sit n go.  I was a massive chip leader and limped into a pot with any two cards.  Which in this case was 10-6.

The flop came 6 6 T, at which point Geo, shoves all in.

Mary (Who has seen my hand), bursts into laughter behind us both.  The table are then convinced on one of two things.  I"ve either missed it big style, or probably flopped close to the nuts.

After regaining some composure and pondering a bit, I announce "Well, I"m sorta priced into this"

The cards get revealed and everyone is then in on it and I"ve never seen a man so happy to have lost against T 6.

Geo, you are a top man, and you really deserved that medal for a great effort over the weekend.

Tighty Sit n Go"s really should be on the APAT schedule.  Des, season 4 maybe ?

After the thread with the "3 players who will make final" comp was deleted, Tighty made it a "pick 1 of the last 25 to win a medal".

Davy and I picked George Dickson. Can"t find the post about the comp now, but the winner gets a seat at the English Amatuer champ without going thru" the clickfest.

Anyone find the original post?

Looks like only myself and Forththistle picked a medal winner.....

???

After the thread with the "3 players who will make final" comp was deleted, Tighty made it a "pick 1 of the last 25 to win a medal".

Davy and I picked George Dickson. Can"t find the post about the comp now, but the winner gets a seat at the English Amatuer champ without going thru" the clickfest.

Anyone find the original post?

That"s fine Neil, that post was made part way through the new day one thread.  Let us know before the clickfest for the English event if you want to use your option.

Cheers,

Des.
