Watch out Steve. Anyone who kindly asks you to join them in a cash game, will usually have some sort of edge against you.

that"s what I thought at the Circus in Edinburgh during the APAT trip, but you really should have seen the standard - the old guy who pestered me to start up a table was amazingly bad. So bad that Cyntaf just couldn"t leave until he had bled him dry.

You haven"t played the .50/1 on a Wednesday :D

But yes, you pick the right 1/2 table, and it"s very profitable.

Yeah.  23 teams of 4.
Indiv event tomorrow.

Steve has circa starting stack in £75. 32 left out of 53, so a bit below average, but poised to strike.

18 left - Steve still in but getting short.

On the plus side, two of my team are still in with 19 left.

lol - I went out within a minute or two of this post in 18th place.

Was tough sharing a table with Tom McCready and Tony Phillips for most of the game

Migrated to the cash tables, and proceeded to play over three hours for a huge profit..... turned £100 into £105!! sigh

4 of them put £10 each into 4 different machines - one of them picked up $4k for his £10. I believe he bought his mates into the tourney (should think so too!)

It was the weekend for payouts. Stopped at Watford Gap services going home from DTD yesterday and one of our guys won £1,000 on one of those machines. He won the £500 jackpot, tried again and won it again! They have to send on the £133 they still owe him cos the machine ran out of coins!

I thought DTD refused to house fruit machines?

they did originally - when they opened, there were no "gambling" opportunities at all.... however at some point they must have relented on the machines, but they are only in the bar area - not in the poker room itself.

I certainly dont mind DTD having fruit machines or other gambling opportunities, away from the poker area, so long as it allows them to be viable and continue to operate. In life one often has to make compromises.

Yep, that"s the unfortunate truth.

Literally just had someone come up to me and ask me where the nearest supermarket was with a desperate glint in his eye, apparently DTD would not let him in wearing tracksuit bottoms.

Just another warning to all chavs & Scousers, buy some trousers.

dont knock the chavs.....surely its better for them to play the cash games (and give people their money), than it is for them to be hanging round on the streets...

Okay, so the Chavs can contribute in some way but what about the Scouser"s ?
