Won"t get there until about 12:00 so can only cross my fingers that we get seats. Is there no possibility of another venue in Scotland hosting another game so that we"re not totally dependant on Edinburgh?

Having spoken to Des and the other APAT Regional Managers last night, I would like to introduce myself on this Edinburgh thread.

I"m Neil Dawson and have recently been appointed APAT Assistant Regional Manager for Northern Region and today will be covering the Edinburgh and Newcastle Casinos. Along with Jimmy Doran who is covering the other two Northern Region casinos (Manchester and Blackpool), we have the hopefully easy task of being your APAT contact at the event itself.

Our main task today is to make sure all players names, email addresses and finishing positions (top 15 or so) are recorded and sent back to Des. All we ask of you is that you take the time to "sign in" with us at the Events and provide Feedback both on the day and via the new Forum Thread I believe Des will be posting within this forum.

I"m looking forward to meeting you all in Edinburgh this afternoon!!!

All tables had a dealer.

Not a bad day, given the crap cards I kept getting.

Starting stack of 3000 chips meant that things got a bit bingo ish on the jump from 100-200 to 200-400. Average stack when half the people were out was 6000 and blind level was 300-600. 5000 starting chips would be better I think.

even with the 53 runners yesterday another 106,000 chips in play could have given a finishing time of around 2-3am and not the midnight finish as it was.  if in future events there were to be a full compliment of 80 entrants then an extra 160k in play could extend it even further on till 4-5am  not a good idea i think.

it was a good day though, buffet was great and plenty of it. think the structure was good. cant wait till the next one

The feedback I was getting on the day was that the structure was fine as it is. With a 14:30 start in a 53 player tourney the winner was "crowned" at 23:30 which I felt was spot on. The lack of a 150-300 Blind was mentioned to me twice but at 30mins most others didn"t think it was necessary to keep the brown 25 chips on the table after the 75-150 blinds.
