Me and 3 mates will be there! Gonna aim to get there around midday- will that be early enough to cope with demand for registration???
-
Just rang Walsall- they say they"re opening at 1.30pm so maybe getting there for noon isn"t the best idea. Really don"t want to get there and not be able to register, would be like getting :as: ah cracked by ad1 :2s:

Will be playing at Walsall (and DTD) in future events, but can"t make it this weekend.
Best of luck getting a seat, and then winning one ;D
-
I"m highly likely to turn up and donate but a day of World Cup rugby is very tempting.
Do any locals know the liklihood of the rugby being on and watchable whilst playing?
-
Was looking forward to locking horns with you kinbo.... looks like I"ll have to own on my own (or get knocked out first and prop up the bar) >:(
-
hi am new to the live scene, and am really thinkin ov coming on saturday whats it like? ;D
-
Nice cardroom- if it"s like national APT events the dealers will be aware that they may be dealing with new players so it"s a very good introduction to live poker

Will have to wait for the National event. See you there!

Technolog: Rugby World Cup will probably be projected onto the wall in massive fashion, as they do with sports for the cardroom players.
Zedragon: It"s a really nice place, I"d go there just for the piss and sports t.v, without the poker.
Dunno what to think about getting there, I haven"t heard much of a stir about it and its not advertised on the cardroom program, so hopefully everyone who shows and wants to play will get a seat- even though the manager told me they expect to be turning people away.

I"m now leaning toward stopping at home and watching the rugby. The uncertainty of how many will attend, whether you"ll get a seat, if it"ll be self-deal has put me off. I think I"ll let them sort out the teething troubles and hopefully attend the rest. If it wasn"t for the lure of the rugby I would have probably chanced my arm though.

You won"t miss the rugby, they"ll have it on.
They have dealers for 80 players.
I think they"ll have enough places.
Come and play!

If you are new, then turn up anyway as there is a rookie tourney at Walsall on Saturday, which I understand will take place alongside the APAT one.
Rugby, etc is on TV.
See ya there at about 1.00.
BOING BOING !!

Great positive responses guys. The first regional events will be a bit unknown for all of us, and the only way to know what will happen is to go along and see. Sounds great if they have enough dealers and are running another event at the same time. Shouldn"t be a wasted journey for anyone.
