Title: mark is doing the great north run!!!

hello all... on sunday i am doing the great north run, 13.1 miles of pain (a walk in the park to you dan!) i am doing this on the behalf of get kids going, a charity dedicated helping disabled kids organise sporting activities and events as well as supplying specialist equipment so they can all take part in activities we take for granted!

Good luck for this event. Have you been training much? Do you have a target time in mind?

yeah have been training, been having trouble with my back and had a bad cold last week so preparation a little interupted. Anything under 2hrs would be fantastic, but realisically around 2.15 given the interrupted training.

could always suprise myself! ;D

just finished my final long run, 8.5 miles...felt good just pain in my back(as usual) and my right knee.

thanks for the sponsors so far, will try and buy a drink for each in bolton! ;)

Good luck to you Mark.

I am running the Faversham 10k on Sunday on behalf of the cystic fibrosis trust but only half your distance , I may not be going through the anguish of 20k like you but I will have a pint thinking of you when I finish............ Make that 2 pints   ;)

Good luck with run Mark - I"ve done a few GNRs and it"s a great experience - even if a bit crushed for the first few miles!

well i completed the great north run...time was 1hr.56.31 which given the interrupted training and the heat im really impressed with...so glad i did it, just hoping to get into the marathon now!
