Title: EPO tomorrow.... Competition.
Post by: George2Loose on September 15, 2009, 02:18:12 AM
Hey guys,

For those of you who don"t know me I"m Rupinder Bedi. I"m playing the Europeon poker open tomorrow. My biggest live tourney for a while.

The field is packed with pro"s and will be tough but I"m confident with how I"m playing at present so hope to run deep.

There"s going to be circa 200 players and I thought I"d have a little bit of fun with it (hope mods don"t mind)

Pls post on here where you think I"ll finish. The person who guesses accurately or closest will win staking into the double deuce on Full tilt poker (22$ buy in) 50/50 split after stakeback on the 27th of September (or a date after of their choice)

PS: If you all guess 200th then the prize will be kept for me :D

(Cue Kinboshi guess at 200th and Blatch guess at 201st)

I have the faith George,

I would say you will win - but i have a horrible feeling that you will get Aces cracked and exit in 23rd place!

A semi-bluff / draw that doesn"t hit against Hellmuth and he"s too much of a donk to lay down his AA on a scary / drawy board. You"ll have taken out Doyle long before this tho ... ;)

80th

Well just 1 actually lol.

I qualified for an EPT a couple of years ago. Think the buy in for that was around 8k Euro"s. Can"t quite remember tho

You don"t really do plodding around hoping to fold your way into the money, so its either out early chasing a big draw against one of the big names or a deep run. I"ll go for the latter and predict 8th place.

56 left your down to 8 BB in the cut off everyone folded to you, look down A8os Push. A certain Mr Brunson in BB calls with T2 and the rest is history gg - wp etc.

OK, one part of my prediction wrong ... Hellmuth OUT 188th with AK into QQ AIPF. Here fishy, fishy!

Annette Obrestad and a few other big names out already.

Big disappointment. Couldn"t get a stack. Win a pot, lose a pot, win a pot, lose a pot etc etc etc.

Exit hand- active chip leader opens UTG for the 4th time in a row. I look down at  9h th and decide to shove from MP. He"s made it 2k at 400/800 so I ship for 17 unfort he has JJ

gg George. Must have been a great experience and a bit of a thrill sitting down in that company. Saw you had Mr Cool two to your right.

What happened to DevilFish? - he was with the big stacks all day, but finished the day right down at the bottom, almost back on his starting stack!

... and on the flip-side, Praz Bansi who sat with around starting stack all day, and was as low as 6k even in the latter levels, is now up to 50k.

gg George. Must have been a great experience and a bit of a thrill sitting down in that company. Saw you had Mr Cool two to your right.

This always makes me laugh as he is the most uncoolest poker player I have ever played against - always bitching and moaning - In one game last year he was berating an amatuer who had essentially outplayed him and this guy was quite taken a back.  So I reminding "Mr Cool" how uncool it was to tap the glass and this guy had paid over a grand to play any two cards any way he liked. whereas he was comfortably rolled and bought into the event through the grind of players like me.  An uncool debate ensued in which he tilted and stormed out.

There was another game where I was on the same table as him and bigalhx3 when Alan came out with one of the most uncool lines I have ever heard on a poker table to Goodwin (which I think tilted him again)  ;)

WP UL george BTW.... may I ask did you sat into that or did you take a stab? (and why wasn"t goldenblatch playing?)

Sattied in for 250$. Was a very enjoable tournament but very tough. I was on an aggro table and pretty card dead.

My timing is off- the 109hh was the first time I"d re-stealed light. The player to my right had restole of the same guy 3 times and the guy has folded everytime lol

Blatch is playing EPT London instead I think.
