No matter what the prize money could/would you have chopped here?
Heads up in a local pub tourney when the organiser comes up and asks if we wanted to chop? It"s been going a bit slow the play and blinds are 2000/4000 and 95000in play. Prizes were £45 for 1st and £25 for second. Make it £40 for 1st and £30 for 2nd. My opponet says he"s gonna go all in anyway on everyhand so I say fine, you do that but I"m not chopping. I"ll call every hand.
I have 88k and my HU opponent has 8k, 2 BB"s. I said no. Even if it was a £5 difference or a £10k difference. He had 2BB. I have 22. Apparently I was the bad guy for not accepting.
Anywho, he doubled up twice whilst gong in behind to go even in chips but I finally win a flip.
But the regulars I play with said I shouldve chopped! With the blinds sizes, like I said I wouldn"t have chopped for £5 difference or £5k.

But the regulars I play with said I shouldve chopped! ...
Did they say why?

I"d offer him £26 and if he says no then we"re playing on.
-
offer him 2nd placed prize money or GTFO
do what suits you and not what others want you to do.
-
I"d offer to buy him a pint from my £45.

A guy was playing 10-20 Texas Holdem and was down 200 dollars when he looked down and noticed a leprechaun standing next to his chair.
"I"ll make ye a deal" said the leprechaun. "Quit playing poker forever, right now, and I"ll give ye a pot of gold worth a million pounds."
The player thought about it for a minute. "Alright" he answered. "Just let me get even first."
