Title: Does Blue Square accept paypal?
Post by: Rozza1 on October 10, 2007, 19:12:46 PM
I have money on paypal from selling on Ebay and have previously deposited on Ladbrokes with paypal. Does anyone know if this is possible with blue square as i"d like to play the upcoming online championships.

Not to my knowledge I"m afraid, and it"s certainly not mentioned in any obvious manner within the poker client or on their website itself...

On a similar note, this is my real gripe with BlueSq, you can"t even select a deposit method adhoc, if you wish to change from using one method to another you have to go through the whole charade of speaking to Customer Services. I must have elected to use my credit card the first time I deposited some time ago, recently I wanted to use Neteller and found that instead of just clicking "Neteller" like on pretty much every other site, you have to get in touch with them so they can switch it for you. You can"t even use Live Support, you have to call or email! Not ideal!

It"s not down to the network either, other iPoker skins such as Titan etc. have multiple deposit options availale on demand. It really baffles me why they would make this element of the process difficult, surely it is in their interest for people to be able to get their money in as quickly and easily as possible?!

That is, unless I"ve totally missed something and there is an easy way to do it, more than possible (I know, the easy was is to stop being a fish and needing to deposit, easier said than done  :)!

I"ve had similar problems with BlueSq.

I deposited using my Debit Card almost a fortnight ago and had serious problems. The only way I was able to get funds in was to deposit into a general SportsBook Account then call customer service to ask for it to be transferred over.

I know I said in another forum thread that "I LOVE THEM" after winning $400 in a $1 tourney, but I"m now having real difficulties even just withdrawing this back onto my card. In withdrawl, all I can appear to do is Deposit using my Debit Card - "How much would I like to Deposit" is all I"m confronted with. As you say DJKebab, I have managed all both actions on VCPoker and Titan without any hassle at all in the recent past ...

Get it sorted BlueSq ...

Don"t understand that Neil, as you know I have been with Blue Square since the outset and never have any problems withdrawing funds. Simply click on "my account" on the main page this should take you to the "cashier" page which should give you various options including those to Deposit and Withdraw.

Thanks Stuart. I was trying to withdraw from within the BlueSq Poker software"s Control Panel. Frustration got the better of me so I called BlueSq"s 0800 support line. I was directed to their website where I had to log in to my account again, do a Funds Transfer from my Poker Account to my Sportbook Account, and then do a Withdraw Funds to get the pennies posted to my Debit Card. It was a long drawn out process and not one I had to go through when performing the same task from my Titan or VCPoker accounts.

Anyway, all is well now. I know how to withdraw my APAT winnings now - all I have to do is hope y"all lay down those monsters and let me win some!!!  :-\

Apparently you cannot change your card details for another unless it has expired as it"s against company policy!!

If you call Bluesq, they normally sort those things out pretty quickly.  No good for tonight obviously, but for next time.

Fair enough, but why should you have to call? I don"t remember any other site where I couldn"t choose payment options ad-hoc, and I"ve played on most at one point or another. I"m sure there must be reasons, but it seems to me they are shooting themselves in the foot by making it difficult for those trying to deposit. It kind of makes sense for them to make it a hassle for people to withdraw (although perhaps not ethical), but not to deposit?!

Oh it"s certainly a bad - don"t get me wrong there.  Just trying to help to make the best of an undesirable situation.

Certainly not making any excuses for Bluesq.  They should know better.

It"s clearly a fraud protection measure.

It might be awkward, and it might not be the best way, but I expect it"s effective.

I would suspect you are correct there Jon, however, I"m assuming all the other sites don"t have particular fraud issues or they would have implemented similar? Perhaps Blue Sq attracts the wrong type of crowd...  :P

Mansion is far worse!

Others are far better.

I"ve never played on Mansion, because whenever I tried to deposit money on there it insisted that I had to be logged in to do so (I"m sure you can work out what the problem was if you have a slight nugget of imagination :) )

It"s not the depositing on there that"s the problem.  The withdrawal is fun!

Although that might have changed now they"ve switched networks.
