Title: UKIPT
Post by: AMRN on January 07, 2010, 20:38:52 PM
Just bought into a $7 turbo satellite for UKIPT Manchester - enough rebuys in play to provide two $530 seats to Saturday"s final qualifier for a $2100 package.

Won the satellite, celebrated, told the missus...... who then told me I"m busy on Saturday evening :(

Oh well - Unregister and take $530 for $14 I suppose.

Try losing 20 straight sit n go buy ins

KK cracked 3 times all in preflop with calls from anything from  ace2 to 78o

ran AK into flopped sets half a dozen times with a K or A  flop after my re raise pre flop

had set over set and had aces busted 3 times in a row when been getting re raised. Best was BB over shove after Ive shoved already all in with J8o. Turn J river 8

That one is particularly tough. I remember inflicting this on someone in a live game. They didn"t speak to me for a month.

Remember bad beats are our best friend. It means we are getting our money in good. Variance will take care of the rest.

Doesn"t help if your having to drop down a few levels to save going busto!

Variance is a bitch

If there was no such thing as fish or bad beats. Then there would be no money to be made. The only problem with playing well, is that you will get more unlucky than someone who always gets their money in behind.

Good luck both. Try not to get banned Steve.

Oh, and as this is a bad beat thread, friend of mine had this yesterday on FT Rush (can I mention that?)
QQ - board Q44xx - opp 44. Okay, it happens.
Very next hand: AA - board A2x2x - opp 22

Reminds me of a Plo cash hand vs you scouse at the BCPC....i had Qs full and you had trip 4s and hit a 4 on the river..... Glad it happenend now though, because its only time ive ever been 1 outered on the river, so now i have experianced what it feels like.

gud luck in the Pstars manc tourney, and i dont mean with the cards. I mean the actual venue......if its run like the regular tourneys, then i dont think people buying in for £550 will be very pleased.

Won a few sats to play but the packages have put me off a bit. When it said "seat only" thats what I expected, not seat plus $500 spends. It just over values the packages IMO and makes the seats harder to win. I also think the sats have been a bit weird.

I mean an $8 rebuy into a $1435 "seat only" package...lol and a $7 rebuy into a $530 qualifier. Would have been a lot better if they had some intermediate sats, like an $8 rebuy into a $215 qualifier or similar.

Well done to the guys who have shipped a package!

I"ve just bought in for the Thursday.

Was told that capacity has been increased to 500 (250 per day 1), and there is still around 20 seats left for Thursday, with Friday sold out.

UKIPT website is saying sold out, as the casino wanted to leave some seats available for "local" players.

On top of this 15 seats are being saved for the 3 scheduled £20 live re-buy sats.  Should be a huge cash overlay in all 3 of these!
