Title: APAT Online Series - French Open
Post by: APAT on October 24, 2007, 22:31:48 PM
The third event of the APAT Online Series; the French Open, will take place on Thursday October 25th at 8pm.

The event willl be available through the Tournaments / Specials / APAT tab on the Blue Square client, for an entry fee of $10 + $1.

Players will start with a 5,000 chip deepstack, with the top nine scoring APAT ranking points and the top three securing APAT gold, silver and bronze medals.

Unfortunately, last year"s Champion Nathan Zabala is unable to defend his title due to the online poker related legal disputes in the US.  It is possible that last year"s other medalists; Ironside (Silver) and Zukertort (Bronze) will be competing.

The Blue Square poker client can be downloaded from www.bluesquarepoker.com.  Please note Blue Square does not offer a late registration feature, so feel free to join the 30 plus players who have registered early.

Good luck to all participating players!

Regards,

This happened to me last night.

Wait until you fold your next hand then quickly close down the software and reopen.

it did the trick for me.

I have to say I do prefer PokerStars. The software is flawless.

Think it would really spice up the APAT tourneys if we played on the 3d website PKR. So much fun with all those emotions to play with. Gives a bit of online ammunition aswell when you have a bad beat.

Maybe an idea for the future...

I like to go out in style.  My full house lost to a straight flush on a 3-way all-in (other guy had nut flush).

UL Divvits. I"ll be with you on the rail shortly me thinks ... I"ve exhausted 93o and J5o tonight. Just lost a stack with a pre-flop raise with KK and fold on flop when A came out and opponent went All-In.

Yep, getting a lot of pauses / delays tonight - none that affected my actions. I thought it was because I had 3 tables open but having read on this forum and seeing weird time-out folds, I"m realising it"s not just me.

Been playing BlueSq for a month or so now but these are the worst delays I"ve experienced.

Out in 45th with 66 against 77 on a board of QT7. I check raised in the hope that I could represent a Q and scare him even though I only had enough to double his 2k bet - "twasn"t to be!

Defo going to start getting all-in behind. A10 beaten by A5 on a board of 4678.
Good luck everyone left in see you on Saturday.

Not sure about the PKR software. You only seem to be able to play 7 or 8 hands. It may have changed since months ago though.

Thankfully, unlike a couple of weeks ago, I haven"t had a single disconnection or time out from the server. Touch wood that is. U watch now I"ve said that!

Congrats ROBOSquirrel i think i was on your table for part of the night so you must have been one of the few not to outdraw someone  :D (people calling re-raises with  9h tc gotta love them....sigh... :-X)

Can"t see me playing in the thursday games i"m afraid 5000 chips is great and but 3000 chips and a 15 minute clock is miles better than anything available anywhere for a $10 buy in and would finish at a reasonable hour. Actually quite surprised they are finishing that early as the blonde/virgin games went to nearly 12 iirc and that was 2000/2500 chips with 50 players. the Crypto £6k/$13k gtd gives 2000 chips 15 minute clock for £20/$50 which allows ample opportunity for play imho.

Anyway just my tuppence worth good luck with them and i will still be playing the saturday games where I may have remembered to stop bluffing in APAT games  :D

Congrats to robosquirell,
I enjoyed my first APAT tourney even though I came a pathetic 115  ::) I blame it on using BlueSQ for the first time.
Hopefully I"ll get my medal on Saturday instead!
Dave.
