Was there last night for the £20 FO. I sincerely hope what I witnessed  isnt the norm.
Seen a young boy threatened with extreme violence, not only by a mouth at the table, but by his friends who joined in from other tables.
The young boys crime ?. he commented, after being criticised, in his play, by saying,"everybody at this table would have shoved with that"
The torrents of threats that followed was sickening.
Is this an isolated incident at the venue, or has anyone experienced similar ?. :o :o

I believe Derek (Zanshin) is playing this too. Surprised he hasn"t posted ...

I"ll be there.

This is either such a big day out for Geo that he"s planned his wardrobe 2 days in advance, or his wardrobe is limited. Judging by previous dress-sense witnessed, I"m going with the "limited". Here"s rooting for a scorcher ...

I know there is no direct buy in for this event so that GOBSH*TE will not be a apart of this event,(hopefully)
I am hoping there is a feel good factor about this event as players will be travelling in from all over the uk
second only to an APAT event.

see you all in Glasgow & GL folks

Well done Davey, can"t believe you cashed and I didn"t you absolute luckbox :D Was that the hand when I was behind you? If it was the guy who folded his BB is an APAT member too. You"re lucky he didn"t call with his whatever and bink you!

Oh well, I think I exited around 70th. I was coasting through the first couple of hours of play. I was on a table with The Healer and managed to cripple him (AK vs A9) then knock him out (KK vs 88) - sorry for that, lol. This combined with opening up fairly wide after the first level helped me shoot up to over 18k but then a bunch of ill timed steals and bluffs knocked me back down to average for a while then as the blinds go up I"m at push/fold stage. First hand after the dinner break at the 100/400/800 level I have around 11bbs when a pretty active and loose raiser raises x3.5 so I ship it in over him and he calls. My JJ vs his AQ and he binks the A on the flop. When a mate starts shouting for a diamond that arrives on the river I think for a second I four-flush the guy only to realise his A of diamonds beats my J of diamonds :D It wasn"t to be though and said guy was hitting absolutely everything all day when flipping or behind so I didn"t expect any different once the chips were in ::)

Overall I had a really good day. Wish they had more events of this size and structure north of the border. It was my first time in the Alea and it was a really great casino, by far the plushest i"ve been to in the UK i"d say. In fact, the toilets were of better quality than some other UK casinos gaming floors :D After the success of this event I hope the Alea will be up for consideration for the Scottish leg of the APAT tour in S5 ;D

It was good to put some faces to the forum names and I did indeed, as pointed out by Geo, forget my mask and nunchucks but luckily I didn"t need them while at the casino although I could"ve maybe done with them on the walk to the casino but that"s another story :D

Thanks again to the organisers for a thoroughly enjoyable day.

lol, Aberdeen"s going to be a good one. Provided we can get seats. Where did you see it was only 100? I"m hoping not too many people will be travelling up all that way and there"s a good chance to get one. Well done again mate.

And Crizzy, I"m disappointed you didn"t put my chips to good use, lol.

Thoroughly enjoyed the event, which turned out to be a better experience than the one I had on the Wednesday.
